I am taking bets - Android 17 QPR1 final today
My points:
Today is first Tuesday of the month = Security update = instead of Security Update = QPR1
Play System stuck on July 2026 and should be updated end of August but it is September.
Pixel 11 cannot show all best features without QPR1
Pixel 11 promos end tomorrow.
Pixel 11 really needs software update the now.
Pixel Buds new Features announced to be in September
Far too many reasons today is the BIG day :)
Anyone there who say no AND has more reasons to say "no"?

Don't they typically go out on a Monday though? So that would be 7th September in this instance.

They no longer promise the updates are on the first Monday of the month. They still do it sometimes and sometimes they don't. So it could be today or next week, we have no idea

next week in USA Pregnant Woman Day (Labour Day) so QPR1 shouldn't be released

Pregnant woman day?? It's a holiday about workers, not pregnant women

Yes, and that's the point. May 1 was originally a communist/socialist celebration, so the US decided to make a separate holiday for workers. Along similar lines, the Catholic Church made May 1 the feast day for St. Joseph the worker, to combat socialist ideology on that day.

As I understand it is specifically celebrating the American labor movement in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Looks like my day was forming around that time but we already had holidays on that day. That's all I know

September 7 is a holiday no update will be released it's strongly pointing towards September 8-14 early to mid September

It's for sure no longer on a Monday. But they do tend to release on mostly Tuesdays now so there's a chance it could be later, or later in the week since it's not guaranteed anymore. I doubt it'll be next week (especially since there were sooooo many betas for QPR 1 alone, they likely we're aiming to push it out asap)

Next Monday is also Labor Day here in the US, one of the most major of major holidays here where next to no business is open, highly doubt Google will be either so unlikely it will be next Monday even though it will be the first Monday of the month.

I would say Google NEEDS to release QPR1 ASAP because of Pixel 11
QPR1 is NOT just features but Security update and Play System

They abandoned first Tuesday of the month framework a long time ago. It just is when it is.

Several Google employees had their Pixel 11 phones get bricked from the last OTA update. Google is releasing an out of band update with the September security patches before they get complaints from everybody else.

Not sure if you were trying to be funny but in case you weren't, it's not that kind of "labor". Google is your friend here.

I believe Pixel 11 series will join the Android beta program today and QPR1+ September update next week
