What a sweet kitty! I used to watch a kitty who demanded harness walks, and she would actually sometimes catch a lizard on them! 🤢 Not my fav part!

My cat loves walks too, except she doesn't want to wear a leash. She goes outdoors on her own, but will actively ask to come play outside, so she can walk further than she'd do on her own.

She follows me all around the street (and would further if I'd go further). Her brother, who sadly passed away, was the same. It was so much fun to walk 2 cats like they were dogs. Everyone I came across felt it was cool too, to see that they followed me wherever I went.

I remember when everyone just let their cats out but they always came home

Not always unfortunately. Roads, shitty people, etc.

Exactly. This video is really cute of a cat going out with its owner. And cool to see replies of of others about their cats following them around their neighborhood. I love that they get to safely explore outside!

But the ones let out unsupervised typically don't live as long as indoor only or these supervised cats. Quality of life issues can occur to from fights with other cats or fighting off predators. Eye injuries/loss, life threatening infections or contracting lifelong diseases are prevalent still.

My cat used to escape, without me noticing, but would come home. One time he was trapped in the neighbors garage for like 2 days and I didn't know until one night I decided to call for him and I heard his sad meowing.

My cat goes outside on her own, but stays around the house in a 20m radius or so. She still loves going for walks with me, so she can safely explore a larger area, she'd normally never come.
