subtle propaganda
I just want to get this off my chest. The example that pushed me to finally post is niche and kind of dumb, but the point stands, it's one example out of way too many.
I was watching YouTube animations of the two robots from Portal 2 going on random adventures. Most of these are wholesome, basically just about the robots being friends. Then out of nowhere one switches to a joke about the robots trying to have sex. These robots aren't human looking, seem more like siblings or friends in how that act in the game, and don't have a gender.
Why add that? It's unrelated to everything else in the video. It's 1984 style subtle propaganda and it's everywhere not only in this random youtube video, you can't escape it. This is a video about robots, how am I supposed to see that coming?
Why does so much random media do this? Is it really that hard to not sexualize completely unrelated, innocent things? I notice it constantly.
PS: resisting carnal desires is what seperates humans from animals, we are the only ones who willingly chose to disobey instinct and look at us compared to animals

Atlas and Pbody from portal 2 coop. Playing portal 2 coop with a friend is absolutely peak, when I do hard community created puzzles the communication and problem solving click perfectly, makes it feel like our minds have merged. And the animations of the robots in game are funny and cute
Here is a video made by the same guy but this one is clean

Okay, there was a time when I said I think the reason why you guys have such a hang up about sex is because you can’t come to terms with the fact that you’re animals.
Your last paragraph basically proves it.
I got massively downvoted but come on. This is clearly why.

Huh animals also rape each other and eat each other but I don't know why don't we do that? Do animals have knowledge about their body and have an organised routine? No, this is because humans are intelligent creatures and can ACTUALLY control themselves. Lady I'm the most hypersexual person ever with weird kinks that ACTUALLY turn me on and still, I can come to logical conclusion that you don't need sex to live. Dude it's SUCH a western concept, you don't even understand 😂 like I always wanted to be a virgin forever (there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with a woman having sex or being somewhat sexual at all, it's more of a control thing)

So I’m right.
You believe sex is animalistic behavior and it makes you uncomfortable because you don’t want to be an animal.

Sure sweetie, that means all of current humanity and all of humans that evolved didn't want to be animals. Just how unscientific and goofy can you get lmao

Most animals do sex for the sole purpose of reproduction and not to fuck with anyone all of a sudden out of the blue of nothing.
Most animals have definitive period when they have sex, like when they are in heat.
Most animals attract and choose their partners using pheromones and are very picky about whom they exchange their genes with, not go fuck around with whosever passed the corners of their eyes.
Most animals can show very violent and aggressive behaviors during intercourse. Male bed bugs stab the female to ejaculate semen in their bellies leading to a 25% chance of infection of the female bedbug. Sometimes the entire colony gets wiped out because the reproductive frenzy led to death of almost all bedbugs. Male dolphins repordtedly grape their female counterparts in gangs. Chimpanzees and orangutans do the same. Bonobos use sex to neutralize group aggression.
The female blackwidow and female grasshopper eats the male if she feels hungry after copulation.
You're nowhere alike how sex works for animals.
If promiscous sexuals feel like they are animals, maybe ditch your mobile phones and internet and your cozy bed and the electricity?

I had to look this up as I also thought they didn't have genders but apparently one of the writers really insisted on giving them genders...for some reason.
It makes little to no sense to give a 100% robot a gender...but okay. And the fanbase is rabid about that it seems too, some people are making side to sides to show "feminine" features in one of the robots (weird thing to be rabid about)
