So let's here you stories about your time at Applebee's past or present.
So this happened a few weeks ago. I am serving this table and come back with drinks. Mom stands up which I assume is to use the bathroom/stretch. All of a a sudden she starts shrieking. Confused.jpg.
Guess she was having a seizure but the kind where you didn't need to go to the hospital. They paoed for the drinks and then left after a while. They didn't even leave a tip /s.
All in all it was kind of scary.

Does anyone use a seating chart app instead of paper/pencil? Would love to suggest a system to my GM/AD or higher. I know the traditional method isn’t difficult, but in this day and age there’s no reason to not have a digitized system.

I haven’t had Applebee’s in a looooooooong time, and I probably won’t again. It used to be my favorite! They didn’t seem to have the sweet chili tenders and mac when I ask but whatever... But the most disappointing thing of all was the wonton chicken tacos—HORRIBLE! Use to be my go to app .. it use to be amazing! But did they change the recipe or something. The “chicken” (if ya wanna call it that ) literally tasted like boiled cubes of flavorless mystery meat, the wonton shell was oil logged . Suuuuuuper greasy! Hopefully it’s just a location type of thing … mybe I’ll try a different location but for now I’ll stay far away …. 😂🥴

Recently was told to come into sign paperwork to start working at my local place as a closing dishwasher. Wasn't told till I was on site that they had someone return from maternity leave, and legally had to offer it to them first. Having to scramble and let my current employer know so hopefully I don't loose that position.
How common is this sort of thing with this company? I hope its rather uncommon at least.

Has anyone ever used this before? For doing a survey you get $10 off of your $40 purchase. What did you end up getting? I want to get drinks as well but it says alcohol excluded so I’m confused on how that would work.

Has anyone else noticed that really big meal deals are showing up in the app now, but, say that the items are unavailable? Is it coming back? The number of items has been reduced along with some of the extras like bacon.

Hi, Does anybody know who supplies the ingredients for the Three Cheese Chicken Penne? I assume each location gets a bag of alfredo-like sauce and then adds grilled chicken, shredded cheeses, & tomato to make the Three Cheese Chicken Penne? If so, I just need help finding the alfredo-like sauce or "rich parmesan cream sauce".
I have access to GFS, Sysco, Spartan, and HT Hackney, but I'm willing to make an account with whoever supplies the sauce, because I love it.
I really like the Three Cheese Chicken Penne, but my local Applebees has been skimping on the sauce for the past 2 years and making me pay for extra sauce just to coat all the pasta (they always send it out with less than half of the penne coated and the rest is just watery bare penne). I tried making copycats at home and buying various fresh & jar alfredo sauces & frozen chicken alfredo dinners, but nothing tastes the same

The manager of Applesbee’s was super excited about the new POS system (TOAST) he was training on, I’ve never seen him this happy ever.

This would have been between 2007 and 2017…probably closer to the middle of those dates…
As I remember there was a mountain of mashed potatoes with a brown gravy, meat, carrots, etc covering it. I want to say there was a fried onion ring on top…I used to be able to find an image of it online, but apparently the internet isn’t forever…I’d like to recreate it at home…
Anyone remember this item?

Hey guys! Sorry if this isn't allowed here, but it's the only place I found best to post it. I just got a job offer for a "To go" position at Applebee's. If anyone has any tips or advice, it would be very much appreciated.

A little birdie told me that the happy hour and lunch menus at Applebee's will be changing soon, but they did not say when. Do any of you know exactly when that change will take place? And have any of you seen the new menus?

I’m wondering if anyone who works at Applebee’s or eats there regularly can answer this.
My family and I went to Applebee’s tonight and wanted to order the Classic Cheeseburger as one of the entrées with the 2 for $25 deal. Our server told us that it wasn’t an option for the 2/25 and that I would have to get the OM cheeseburger.
The confusing part is that I pulled up the Applebee’s website for that exact location while sitting at the table, and the Classic Cheeseburger was listed as an entrée option for the 2 for $25 deal.
When I mentioned that, our server insisted they “don’t do that” and even suggested that if I wanted the Classic Cheeseburger, I could place it as a to-go order and they’d serve it to me in to-go containers while I ate inside the restaurant.
Since that didn’t make sense, we politely asked to speak with the manager. Our server noticeably sucked her teeth when we asked, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable.
The manager came over, was very friendly, and immediately said he would take care of it. He approved the Classic Cheeseburger with no issue.
After that, though, our server basically stopped waiting on us. We asked her for water, but she never brought it and never came back to our table. We waited around 20 minutes, and the manager ended up checking on us, bringing my food, correcting my toddler’s incorrect meal, and essentially taking over our table. Before we left, he apologized for the experience and even encouraged us to leave a review if we wanted to.
So I’m genuinely curious:
Is the 2 for $25 deal supposed to be different online versus dine-in?
Is the Classic Cheeseburger an online-only option at some locations?
Or was this just a misunderstanding by our server?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from current or former Applebee’s employees who know how the promotion is supposed to work. Thanks!

I’m begging Applebee’s to bring back the original honey mustard from the ’90s and not as a limited time promotion. Bring it back for good.
The current honey mustard just isn’t the same. The original was creamy, sweet, tangy, and absolutely perfect with the chicken tenders and fries. It was one of the best restaurant dipping sauces ever made, and so many of us still remember it decades later.
If you’ve been around long enough to remember the original, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Applebee’s, please listen to your longtime customers. We don’t want a one-month throwback. We want the real, original honey mustard back on the menu permanently.
If you would order it again, leave a comment! Maybe if enough of us speak up, Applebee’s will finally bring back the sauce that made so many of us fall in love with their chicken tenders.

So, I just apologize in advance incase this is a silly question.
I’ve always adored Applebees shark bowls but they never have the ingredients listed on the menu so I can’t recreate a knockoff at home. I’ve tried fo look online but nothing comes up (maybe I’m just not trying hard enough?) So, I wanted to ask if anyone knows what I would need to make one or what I could use to make something similar? If any Applebees bartenders come across this I’m begging you guys to help a girl out.
Thank you!
Edit: I do know that it’s captain morgan and a tropical concentrate. I’m more so looking of like, what else is in it or what any recommendations anyone might have for things I can use to substitute the ingredients they haven’t listed on the menu! But, I do thank everyone who is replying, truly (:
