Small update on my app that's been slowly gaining traction.

Built it as an alternative to Habitica, but flipped the focus. Most habit trackers gamify the habit, you check a box, get a badge, feel good for five seconds. Levelite flips that: the game comes first. You're actually playing something, leveling up, unlocking skills, running dungeons, and the habit-building happens as a side effect of wanting to keep playing, not as the whole point.

Solo dev, about 1 year into this. For most of that year I was averaging like $30-60/month, so this next part might sound small to some of you but it's massive for me. Hit $500 in a month for the first time about 3 months ago. Couldn't keep that momentum going though, it dropped back down and has been sitting around $250-300/month since.

Not giving up on it. Goal is still $1k/month, just gonna take longer than I thought 🙏

What app would be best for note taking with a pen and can inport and write on images for a Lenovo Yoga 7i. It uses Microsoft to download apps. The app lets you pick a city in the U.S. to add a note of thanks for healthcare workers, and when they tap the pin on the map they can see messages of thanks you’ve left them. The nurses, doctors, assistants and essential workers helped millions of people and put their lives on the line while at it.  

This is a first version of the site, and would appreciate any suggestions for it. Want to add more cities. There should also be more ways to display prompts. Also adding more countries. Would like healthcare workers to be able to find props people gave them across the country. Thanks!

I saw a post on Reddit recently where someone was talking about how they closed their eyes and somehow 20 years of their life went by, and how they wished they could remember more of it.

We weren’t live yet, but I remember reading it and thinking... we actually have something for that! It's VideoBro! (silly name... we know)

The basic idea is pretty simple. Imagine a group of friends passing around a camcorder on a trip, at a wedding, family reunion, whatever. Except instead of one camcorder, everyone is just using the phone they already have.

You make a tape, invite up to 8 people, and everyone can add clips. You can turn on REC and VideoBro will automatically grab newly recorded horizontal videos, or you can just add things manually whenever you want.

Then it takes everyone’s clips and puts them together chronologically. So instead of ending up with a million random little videos spread across everyone’s camera rolls, you get one long video of the whole thing.

When you’re done, you “develop” the tape and it gets saved in your tape cabinet where you can watch it later or share it.

Anyway, this has been a passion project for me for a while now, and one of the things I didn’t really expect is how much I’d actually use it myself while building it.

Trips, weddings, family reunions, random weekends. I’ve got a bunch of these tapes now and I really love having them. They honestly get more fun to watch the older they get.

So it’s already been worth making for me.

We just launched the first version on iOS. It’s free right now with limited storage while we work on what comes next.

I’ve been building Pasly, a clipboard manager for macOS and iOS, around a simple idea:

Your clipboard shouldn’t disappear after you copy something else — and it shouldn’t be stuck on one device.

Morning, im not sure if this is possible, but do you guys know any website that could replace Bolt's Activity list (the former rides) and that is also customizable?? I've been getting free rides with my friend and sometimes I dont use bolt to go to school, but I'm afraid my mom will get angry if she doesn't see my activity from bolt everyday... Is there any way I can get it or a similar website to Display rides everyday?

I kept running into two different problems with screen-time tools.

Sometimes I opened Instagram or TikTok without thinking. In that moment, a short pause was enough to notice what I was doing.

But when I already knew I needed 30 minutes away from them, a pause was too easy to dismiss — and “Ignore Limit” had become muscle memory.

So I added a separate Block tab to FocusPause 1.4.

Quick Block is for one-off moments — for example, blocking social apps for 30 minutes after I get home.

Schedules are for routines I already know in advance. I can choose the days and add multiple active periods to the same schedule: weekdays from 9 AM to noon and again from 1:30 PM to 6 PM for work, or every night before bed. Once it’s set, the block starts automatically instead of relying on me to remember.

If I open a selected app while a block is active, iOS shows the block screen.

The image shows the full flow: Quick Timer, recurring schedules, custom active times, and the Review screen afterward. The smaller panels show the pause-and-purpose flow for moments when I still choose to open an app.

I deliberately kept early exit available behind a confirmation. One legitimate need shouldn’t make someone disable the whole system.

If you try it, I’d especially value blunt feedback on one thing: does the Share → Recipe → Plan → Reminders flow feel like one clear promise, or should the app lead only with recipe import?

Like what exactly are you looking for when you're gaining info on users, which makes you know exactly when you should implement a higher paid tier or something similar? Or, do you just create the process off the jump and do it that way?

What tools do you use to gather this info, and how do you know what and what not to lock behind a paywall?
