I bought from a fish store in Korea. He told me they were some kind of dwarf fish, but there’s a very big language barrier. Anyone have an idea, I’m not finding anything to tell me what they are. I just want to know care guidelines, and things like that.

I only had goldfish when I was a kid, recently got into tropicals with my daughter. We bought a fully established tank with an 8yr old bristlenose.. unnamed!!

I’m doing a co2 tank with full Monte Carlo carpet and a moss bonsai tree, I’m currently thinking of what to put in there. I’ve played with the idea of chili rasboras and neocardia, or kuli loaches with other things but want to explore ideas. Thanks for your help

Just looking for some stock ideas for my 260L, i’ve got 5 dwarf chain loaches, 2 khuli, 4 panda garra and 10 cherry barbs. I’m looking for some more mid- upper level swimmers that can handle current. Also interested in a nice centre piece fish.

Made my first ever own tank, got the roots from my grandpa, medium too, it's for bloody Mary neocaridina shrimps ^^

First pic shows it before I got plants especially for this tank, second and rest shows it after I put all the plants in (didn't even count how many of laid it out before or anything, just put them in how i felt).

The mesh is a moss mesh where I glued moss pieces on so the shrimp will have some nice moss carpet after some months to feed and hide in.

Maybe I will get some endler Guppies too after a few months. No co2 or anything, just a pump with filter on it.

I am a totally new to this and definitely did a lot of mistakes, but I still try to save this thing.

This a is for Xiaomi Mijia for 20L. I started it all wrong, barely giving this thing a few days to stay without fishes and than letting 6 guppies in. Now this thing is almost month old. After 4 fished died I change water every day (30%) to make the survivors feel better, add Stability and Prime from Seachem (establish bio-filter and anti anonia, nitrate and nitrites), add bacteria, clean filters, pump and bottom. I do stick tests, but NO2 and NO3 are very high no matter what, and fished still sometimes don't look good and rest at the bottom during the day and breath a lot.

What am I doing wrong and how to save that thing? Thank you.

Hello, just starting this aquarium and it has been a few months of getting it set up.

As of now I have a sweet potato growing with some hornwort wrapped around the roots, 3 Marimo moss balls, water Lilly, and some Anubias gigantea.

I would like to get snails and shrimp. I need help keeping the glass clean, and making sure I know what else I can add to this before I get the animals.

Issue right now is a slight layer of film on top of the water

What’s the best food for Chili Rasboras ?
I’ve read that feeding them baby brine shrimp, or Cyclops can help with making them even more red.

What’s your go to food for them ?

This is my betta tank it has been running for a couple months now, my betta seems very happy with it, but I can see bits of dirt and biofilms everywhere, especially on the leaves of plants, how might I clear this up?

I have a tank with just one male betta and one mystery snail in it. I found these little black eggs floating on one of the plants I have in the tank. They were at the surface of the water I’m sure they’re eggs because they felt really slimy and were all stuck together when I touched them. I know it’s really hard to tell but does anyone know what these eggs are?

I have went through a rough winter last year and lost a lot of fish because of a blackout, does anyone know how to keep the tanks warm during a winter blackout so I can be better equipped next time?

Inside it I have Kuhli loaches, a baby bristle nose pleco, baby red velvet swordtails, about 8 mystery snails (a few are babies), endless ramshorn, and some random spiral shell snail I found in my local river. They look like a type of egg, but I’m stumped as to what they could be from!!! Any help is appreciated!

Does anyone know what the environmental queues are for anubias to flower in the wild?

My anubias won’t stop flowering, about 2 months back my Barteri started a flower and now my Nana has a flower, looks like a petite might have a flower, and my Barteri has a 2nd flower now. Just curious if other people go through this, maybe it’s because of the fall light that gets through a nearby window. Just thought it was odd. And a lil annoying cuz they’re slowing down leaf production

Bought two amano shrimps but kinda worried if they're really aAmanomano since they don't have that signthoseature markings amAmanos ano are known for. aAndnd they don't seem to be ghost shrimp. They're only 1 incheinch,s so I thought thats cathat's because they're young An.y thoughts? Since I plan to buy 4 more from the same online shop.

Hi everyone!

Now that I have had more experience and research on fish keeping, I really want to transition my freshwater tank from artificial to planted.

Currently, my 10gal is only home to my beautiful koi betta Mina.

I am trying to give her the best life ever which is also why I want to transition to planted and dull the colors out some as well.

Any advice? Would the easiest solution be to save up for a new tank and lay substrate down first? I have extra sand already. Or should I remove the sand enough to lay substrate? Or can the substrate go above the sand?

Any tips or thoughts or suggestions (as well as some starter plants for a beginner tank!) would be so helpful <3

I want to make our aquarium a bit nicer looking. We upgraded from a 6 gallon to this about 6 months ago and budget didn’t allow me to buy much for it. I’m thinking maybe a bigger driftwood? I do not want to pull the tank apart as we have an established shrimp colony and guppies. It needs to be things I can do with the existing fish and shrimp remaining in there.

Any ideas? Thanks!
