Weald Path Studio is looking for an illustrator (or a couple of illustrators) for Mythic Narratives, (hopefully) launching on Kickstarter in 2027. We're after painterly, atmospheric, illustration rather than modern fantasy game art.

What we need art for

Interior illustrations for the core booklet

A set of narrative/character and landscape cards

Possible cover or key art down the line, if the fit is right

Style we're after:

Illustrative, painterly, atmospheric, and stylistic illustration over polished digital fantasy art

Texture over polish.

No anime or comic/cartoon styles, please (no hate, just not for this project).

No AI-generated work in part or full

Heyy, so I'm new here and I'm sorry if I miss anything in the rules but I'd like to make a post for a commission. I don't really use Reddit at all. I kind of just made this to find artists because my friend recommended it. This is also something I'd like to get out of the way now and if you didn't read this in DM me then I'm sorry but this is a requirement for me. I would prefer to do full payment after lineart. That is a new security measure I made after someone scammed me with AI and there's no way around it. I would prefer to stick to this with anyone who commissions me. I have stats and stuff that you can fill out so we can figure out who wins and after discussing a bit we can make a story and it'll be great. It may take me a second to respond unless if I see a character I absolutely love or want to do this with instantly as I like to see a range of characters before I decide on an artist. Please only message me with female characters as my character is female and I do not like whenever guys hit girls. I believe that's all the information for now once we talk more. Hey there! I’m looking for an experienced 2d character illustrator/vtuber asset slicer to refine an existing dark fantasy heavily armoured character. I need some design updates/proportion and perspective fixes, and (2d modular asset variants), all delivered in a rig-ready sliced PSD formatt for After Effects animation.  
NOTE: I do not need any rigging Services as I will be doing this myself. 

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED 

Able to illustrate and render Dark fantasy/Grimdark aesthetic 

2D model prep and joint overdraw) Must understand how to paint hidden artwork details underneath overlapping elements so layers rotate cleanly in After Effects without gaps or tearing. 

Drawing modular sprite variants that align seamlessly with each other for alternating and swapping through

I’m a writer and I have a completed novel, and I hope to turn it into a manga/comic. I want it to be well-known and widely read worldwide. I’m not looking for a financial contract at the moment, but rather a partner who shares my vision and ambition.
