Just wondering where you are all from and what is the one other EU country you would seriously considering moving to.

The best-known in Britain is probably the South West Coast Path which hugs the coast for 630 miles (1,014km) through the four West Country counties and easily accessible for short trips and sections rather than doing the lot in one go. The Pennine Way (268 miles, 431km) from Derbyshire to the Scottish Borders and the West Highland Way (96 miles, 154km) from just north of Glasgow to Fort William are also well known and popular long-distance walking routes. Which are the most popular or best known in your country?

I am sure it has changed a lot recently due to the cooked economy, is it any different by gender or class ?

I’m from England and no one ever taught us about Napoleon or the European Union as examples of two pretty important topics that were completely ignored.

What important topics were ignored in your countries education systems?

for context, im from catalunya, spain and people here generally vary a lot in terms of what they wear. you can see people wearing hoodies at 23C and people wearing t shirts at 15C it really depends so i'm curious.

I recently did a road trip with my car from Poland to Spain passing through 7 countries on the way there and back and was surprised by amount of white cars, mostly in France, Spain and Switzerland, and partly also in Austria. They somehow disappeared in Czechia and when I now look around in Poland I see some but most cars are either silver/graphite/grey or dark red/blue with random other rare colours.

My first guess was that it was because of weather, it always seemed to me that white is not a good colour when everything is muddy for at least half a year. But I don't really know, maybe it's just a passing popularity thing? Or maybe some models are commonly done in certain colours and more popular in different regions?

I ask because I’m American, and my mother is having knee replacement surgery tomorrow. I made the initial appointment in June. She had the appointment in July, when they took X-rays and confirmed how bad the joint had become.

She had already tried physical therapy, cortisone shots, and gel shots over the years, but nothing was helping anymore. At that appointment, they scheduled her surgery.

While attending a class with an RN to discuss the surgery, recovery, medications, and what to expect, they mentioned that they often have people come from Canada and pay out of pocket to have their surgery here. The RN said that because knee replacement is considered elective surgery, the wait time in Canada is a minimum of two years and can often be as long as four years.

So seems like your guys have short or no wait times. I wonder why Canada has such long ones.

Most European languages are spelled phonetically and have rather strict rules governing writing, but German and Spanish for example will take words from other languages and keep the original spelling, which means that speakers of these languages have to memorize how a foreign word is pronounced instead of having it adapted to the spelling rules of the language.

Has EU policy changed the working world? In what ways? Fill me in on some of the specifics of working culture in your country. In the states I work for an industrial facility as an inventory coordinator. The work involves a lot of collaboration with other departments and emails with corporate fairly often. While in Finland on a gap year on an internship I worked for a startup in the Helsinki area. It was fun to be over there and socialize with friends and family! What is your opinion on work in the EU currently?

I’m planning a trip through Germany, and I’ve realized that some of the things I’m most excited about would probably seem completely unremarkable to someone who isn’t interested in history — like driving on the Autobahn while crossing the line from the former DDR into West Germany.

It got me wondering: what places like this exist where you live? Not necessarily famous museums, castles, battlefields, etc. I’m thinking more about ordinary-looking roads, railway stations, buildings, neighborhoods, border crossings, bits of infrastructure, or even empty fields where knowing what happened there completely changes how you see the place.

I grew up in The Netherlands, and I always learned that Autumn starts the 21st of september. There is a metrological Autumn that starts the 1st of September, but on general people say Autumn starts the 21st. I moved to Denmark a couple years ago, Autumn here officially starts on the 1st of September. Giving the fun situation that my daughter is born in Summer, but now has her birthdays in the Autumn.

Never knew this was different before I moved, Just wondering how it is in other European countries? Do you follow the metreological Seasons or the Astrological?

For those for whom it would matter, assume this is a Jewish festival, not Israeli, though with a fair assumption that some Israeli or pro-Israeli groups may be participating.

Reason I ask: a friend invited me to one, and while I didn’t end up attending because of bad weather, I did find myself pondering beforehand whether it would be a security risk or not, or if it would have turned into an Israel/Palestine demonstration. I would have still gone if the weather had cooperated, but I’m curious now if others might have wondered the same thing.

They're plenty of film and tv about the US, British or French government, where they play a significate role or character or setting, they can be historical, fictitious, contemporary.

Are they're any about the European Union's?

I'm interested in how the media, political parties, and the public framed the debate, especially in light of the results. Was it similar to the Brexit situation, or was it different? Given the geopolitical implications, there might be numerous incentives for interference in this matter...

Today's vote in Iceland is not a final decision on joining the European Union, but specifically on whether to resume accession negotiations. We are already in the European Economic Area (EES/EEA), we already have access to the single market, freedom of movement.

So should Iceland join EU?
