This was asked before on this sub, but not recently, so I wonder if you guys can think of one or a few ASMR videos that you consider to be classics of the genre.

It doesn't need to be particularly tingly, but more like culturally significant. A video that's iconic in the ASMR world and that many people are likely to have watched at least once.

I have been racking my brain and my YT history. I am looking for a male artist who did a story about a king being given a princess from people he recently conquered, claiming her as his bride. I believe it is three chapters total.

It gets spicy in the first chapter, with him claiming her in his study. And in the third chapter, he is called away to an attack, but it is a ride to kidnap her from the castle. The kidnapper is a guest VA to the channel. The queen tries to stall the kidnapper and fight back. The king does come to rescue her in the end, praising her cleverness.

It is possible I'm mixing two different, but very similar stories. But I distinctly remember the first part as her being presented like a war prize and the last part of them having fallen in love and her being taken by a guest VA.

do you prefer the first video in a compilation to be a more recent video or an older video?

My quality has changed a lot, my best performing video is my most recent one (posted last week) but idk if that's too soon to be the start of the comp or not. 😅 TIA

Hi everyone, I run a YouTube channel where I film and upload drive ASMR videos. The channel is about 3 months old, and I recently upgraded my audio gear.

So far I've been filming with an iPhone 13 Pro, but I'm now considering upgrading my camera as well. I haven't settled on a specific model yet — I'm currently weighing three categories:

• Mirrorless camera: Sony or Panasonic
• Gimbal camera: DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro or Luna Ultra
• Action camera: DJI Osmo Action 6 or GoPro

For mirrorless, I've seen a lot of posts saying "Sony is the way to go if you're new to video," but also plenty saying "Panasonic is more video-oriented," so I'm torn between the two. That said, mirrorless cameras are on the pricier side, which makes me hesitate a bit more.

My shooting requirements:

• Continuous recording time: usually around 4 hours, sometimes up to 5 hours
• Resolution: at least 4K

Given these conditions, I'd love to hear your experience and recommendations on which camera would be the best fit. Hoping to tap into the wisdom of the crowd here — thanks in advance!

Hi everybody! Im new here, apologies if i havent tagged this correctly, but I have a question I need answered that I havent been able to find the answer too. Everybody describes their tingles differently but is what im experiencing tingles or something else? I get painful shooting sensation down my back. It feels like im being electrocuted with low voltage. I only get them from people whisper in my ear or a hairdryer/ being blown on my back (in real life). Is this tingles or should I be concerned??

Trying to find my favorite creator!

Back in 2016 my two favorite asmrtist were Maria and this randomly obscure woman who made Lofi yet high camera quality videos about her massive endless makeup collection.

-She never showed her face, only her hands.
-video setting was ALWAYS some sort of table with a (velvet?) black cloth placed on-top.
-She would use the makeup on her hands in a messy abstract way, and make countless triggers from one item.
-The triggers were mostly fast but she liked to alternate speeds between fast and slow.
-Not a “tapper”, mostly liked to utilize the item and its various purposes in an asmr style.
-Reiterating the fact that the sound and quality of the videos were lofi but the camera quality was good! Very focused and clear for its time and genre.
-she created videos featuring one type of makeup, such as concealer, mascara, or lipstick: and would show MANY different types and brands of that one makeup product.
-NOT a makeup rummaging account, she would take time on each makeup product.

One of my favorite videos of hers is one featuring Concealers, coloring all over her hands with the different shades and brands - as well as making countless triggers with each tube.
It was so long ago I just cannot find it anymore, or even her account :( if anyone remembers this creator or what might happened to her videos, I would appreciate the insight! I used to watch them every single night, but I fell into a state of depression and gave up on everything I enjoyed. When I got over it, I couldn’t find those videos anymore. Ten years later I’m ready to hunt for them! TIA

I don't really know how to be more specific. If there's a name for it I'd love to know. My favorite vidoes are when someone calmly explains whatever topic. Genuinely any topic. They could whisper about their PhD thesis for seven hours and I'd be reduced to specks of relaxation scattered in the wind. Some of my favorites are Gentlewhispering's ASMR-making tips, for example, but most of the ones I've seen have been one-offs from channels that mostly do other types of videos. I know unintentional ASMR has a lot of this, but I prefer intentional so there aren't random bg noises, plus occasional tapping or other triggers are nice.

Does anyone have suggestions for ASMRtists that do this regularly? Or even one-offs I might not have seen. Idk how to search because I don't have specifics in mind. Maybe if I find a few more, my algorithm can figure it out, lol.

Found a new ASMRtist. Insane to think she only has 6K subs. She reminds me of old school creators like Heather but puts this psychedelic spin on it in her new videos with some serious audio panning. Video in comments

A while ago, i came across an ASMR content creator named MarleyRae ASMR, and personally, i think she made some of the best RP videos out there. They genuinely brought me a lot of comfort and enjoyment whenever i listened to them.

It’s been about three years since she last uploaded anything on YouTube, and her Instagram account is no longer there either. Her Ko-fi is still up, though.

I’m making this post because i really miss her content and was wondering if anyone knows whether she has ever mentioned coming back or continuing to make ASMR.

If anyone remembers any public statements or updates from her, i’d really appreciate it if you could share them

I've recently started making and posting audio content on twitter and on other platforms but it seems like it's really hard to gain traction. I've also been wondering if there are other places aside from Reddit and Twitter where ASMR fans congregate. Any tips for someone just starting out?
