For some context, when i was in middle school A7X was my shit. I absolutely loved all their stuff, was drawing deathbats in school, even preordered Hail to the King deluxe edition back when CD's were a thing lol. Id play the hell out of Tranzit and Call of the Dead just for the easter egg songs.
Then the best way i can explain is i just sort of grew out of them and that kind of music in general. After graduating high school i experimented with what young adults experiment with, got interested in more indie/experimental/garage rock stuff the likes of King Gizzard, Oh sees, Uncle Acid, etc. Would go to a show at some hole in the wall almost every weekend and talk my coworkers ears off about bands theyve never even heard of
Then one day im scrolling instagram and i hear about STATICA and apparently from the looks of it the fanbase just *hates* it. Im reading more and more and hearing its psychedelic and experimental, which starts ticking all my boxes and makes me instantly want to give it a listen
So here i am, listening to A7X for the 1st time since like 2013 and i am in shock of how much im enjoying this. By the 5th run of the EP im just hooked, and eventually ASHES has me by the neck. The screeching solo midway feels like its pulling my soul clean out of my spine, and the spacial mastering is fully immersing me in this hellish feeling soundscape. Im am officially OBSESSED.
It is now about 2 or 3 weeks later, ive listened to the EP about 50 times and ASHES beyond count. Im starting to ask myself how people are calling this terrible and wondering if maybe my music taste has just gotten worse in the past decade
Anywho, im about to try The Stage and LibaD at work tomorrow for the 1st time, and fully ready to try this new version of A7X. Thank you STATICA, for helping me get back into this band again. Most of all big respect to A7X, for doing something far left field like this as not many big name bands these days are willing to go out of their comfort zone

It was my first A7X concert and second concert in general, being in the pit was a whole different experience from seats and I’m just so happy I got to see my favorite band live. Me and my friend even got noticed by M. Shadows, and I also got noticed by Synyster Gates, Johnny Christ + Joel (GC) I will never forget this night and hope to see them In the future 🥹🔥

This is the second track from the band’s third EP/Debut STATICA LP release (2026).
Rate this song out of 10!
Feel free to discuss what you like (or don’t like) about the album, as well as any favorite lyrics, studio anecdote or memory.
NOTE: I will not count your rating if you hate without giving explanation, you must type up 2-3 sentences explaining why you dislike it for me to count it. If you say things like “The Rev didn’t die for this”, “The band should just quit”, or “This sucks” without actually adding notable points to the conversation it will NOT be counted
Rating Results: STATICA (2026)

Just want to give a shoutout to everyone in the pit who was nice to my kiddo this weekend! This was his first time in the pit and he had a blast with everyone who hyped him up! He was so excited to show off the flag he made and everyone around was pleasantly receptive. The only bummer was after the show when he was inches away from getting a pick but unfortunately wasn’t able to secure it. Regardless, we made some amazing memories and I’m happy he had nothing but pleasant interactions with everyone🙌🏻

First and foremost i want to say how much i appreciate A7X their music means so much to me and it always will. I have love for every album they have released and love the evolution throughout the years. An Extremely talented group of guys.
I am very grateful that i have been able to see them live 6x my first ever big time concert i attended was Live in the LBC and think its awesome that it was filmed cuz i can always go back and watch and relive my first experience and what was the foundation for the love i have for my favorite band. Before BMO i saw them twice in 2023 both performances were amazing one was the forum show right before they released LIBAD and my 2nd was in chula vista. Chula Vista was Incredible, everyone was firing on all cylinders and Matts voice was top notch, he actually did alot of screaming which i wasnt expecting. I missed Statica which im not really bummed about cuz its the only project i dont enjoy from them, maybe it will grow on me but im doubtful cuz the autotune is a lil overboard and imo just doesnt sound good, when they have used it in the past i thought it sounded great, so it doesnt have anything to do with me not enjoying autotune, i really dont mind it.
Overall the whole show was lackluster and im still unsure if it was where i was seated or how bad my hearing has gotten lol. Every Band the mixing was just off some songs would sound good, most didnt, from what i was hearing the Bass, Drums and Back up vocals all sounded great and quite loud, the loudness was never an issue, main vocals and lead guitars seemed to have been taking a back seat, it was an okay show but not great, it sucks cuz you can really tell that every band was giving it their all, while yes Matt’s voice seemed to have been struggling at times, he also was hitting some really good notes but was also hard to hear due to the drums and bass overshadowing him haha. Seemed like the perfect show to attend given the circumstances, my GF really wanted to see Good Charlotte, they did a tremendous job and A7X is my favorite. That being said unless they release another album that i end up enjoying, this unfortunately will have probably been the last time i go and see them Live. Feel free to share some of yalls opinions if you care to.

Was looking through some of Wes’s art on insta and saw these lyrics we see in Magic from a piece from 2010. I love Langs art and coincidence or not, i think it’s super cool to see all the collaboration from A7x and Wes.

Went to the LA show last night and overall, great show.
Good Charlotte honestly surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much, but they sounded ridiculously good, almost album quality. Really impressed with them.
Avenged sounded good too. You can definitely tell Matt’s voice isn’t what it used to be, which I think everyone knows at this point, but I thought he did a solid job and you could tell he was giving it everything he had.
My biggest complaint is the length. For them to be the headliner, 12 songs just felt way too short. I’m not really sure what’s going on there, but I definitely think they should’ve played more.
The mixing also seemed pretty off at times, especially with the vocals, but overall they still put on a good show.
Amazing night overall. Just wish A7X had played a longer set.

With the CoE hoodie, how do the sizes vary? I’m a Medium but with current merch, people say go a size higher. Does this also include the COE 20th anniversary hoodie? I’m 5’7, and a medium in hoodies usually. Would it be safer to get a Large?
These are also on eBay and I’m very interested. But just unsure.
Appreciate the feedback/tips!

👋
I made to the LA show last night. It was my first show with a7x. I know lots of people have posted similar things to this. But I wanted to say the entire show was excellent. Like soooo much fucking fun. Being in the pit was so worth it. I even enjoyed the statica set which surprised me. M shadows vocals were fine. The whole band killed it. Brooks drum solo was dope. I’m grateful they’re still touring after all this time. Thanks a7x!!
