I've been recently on the hunt for a cute backpack that does the job well and is fairly budget friendly and I've come across the north face recon. Yes it doesn't look the cutest but it seems like it will do the job well and many people rave about the north face backpacks being good for college. This isn't needed for college but high school and needs to fit these items if possible:

• around 4 (more or less) A4 sized notebooks

• a planner (around A5 size)

• a kinda bulky lunchbox

• sometimes a set of bottoms, a top and a pair of shoes

• emergency kit

• pencil case

• keys

• wallet

• small, loose items - tissues, gum glasses wipes, wetwipes

• a owala sway (the smaller one)

I understand this list is rather long so i do appreciate any help.

The one I am specifically looking to buy is listed on Amazon for £38.99 but the name listed is not the north face recon backpack but instead one of their women's jackets. Is this a fake website? Can I still buy this? And the image of the backpack is not the same as the models of the north face recon that I see circling online. (SEE IMAGE ABOVE)

Just for context my new balance backpack (I think it's the black ops core) can hold around 22L and fit all this stuff but it is falling apart. Is the north face recon durable? and are its organising pouches good?

Im a college welding student and im looking for a new backpack, ive had the same vans bag for a while and it's getting kinda old and I want something new. Looks don't really matter but I think if I give a few details about myself and what im looking for it will help.

After a lot of trips, I finally had to upgrade my good old TT Mission Pack MK2.

Honestly, I really didn't want to replace it. It's been an awesome pack and has been with me on plenty of trips. But over time my bushcraft setup grew a little, and I reached the point where all my gear still fit... but my food didn't. 😅

So I finally went for the TT Modular Trooper.

My son’s school has a clear backpack policy, and I’ve been surprised by how hard it is to find one that looks both well-made and stylish. Most of the options I’ve found online look pretty similar and are made from PVC.

I ended up buying one from Under Armour because it uses TPU instead of PVC, and it works fine for what we need. But I’m curious if anyone found a clear backpack they really like and would recommend?

Don’t get me wrong it’s a really really good looking bag imo but I’m very skeptical about Arcteryx these days since it’s mostly just a luxury brand to show you spent $800 on a jacket

I’ve been looking at the Aerios 18 and I’ve seen nothing but good reviews for it.

Do you have one? What do you have to say about it? I would appreciate a picture of your bag to go with it if possible

Looking for a new bag for work, school, EDC. I have narrowed it down to three options I think, but can’t find a ton online about these ones and would really just love some more input! These all have the main features I want, so just seeking any other opinions, preferences, or reviews. I am looking at the largest end of a EDC bag 26-30L. Ideally despite my size needs, I would love a bag that does not look massive or turtle shell like (especially on a smaller frame). I know the ideal would be to go look in person, but unfortunately that not an option where I am. Here’s what I’m considering!

Patagonia Refugio 26L or 30L (I know this is a popular bag, but I can’t find a whole lot about the newest versions)
- North face hotshot
- Gregory Terros 28

Would you appreciate if premium $200-300 minimalist TRAVEL & EDC backpacks (like Bellroy, Samsonite, Urth, Peak Design, Piquadro, etc, NO mountain and cheaper backpacks) included an elastic bungee cord that could be attached and removed depending on the context or location where the backpack is being used?

Would you use the bungee cord or not?

I mean, during travel (where you usually carry a jacket or extra bulky items) you can use the bungee cord and during work or city, you can remove it to keep the backpack minimalist.

In premium travel and every day carry backpacks costing around $200-300, hardly any include one, yet I think it could be useful in certain situations (bulky items, airport, travel, wet clothes, etc).

I'm looking to clean up this internal frame karrimor lynx 1 backpack, from the 70s/80s. I can't tell if this is mould damage or wear to the fabric? If it is mould, how can I clean it? I've already tried mould spray, hand washing and drying on a dryrack. I live in a flat in a very rainy area, so can't really leave out I n the sun unless I dangle it from a window (and there's a very high chance of it raining anyway). Any advice appreciated!

I'm looking for a backpack for my daily commute and travelling, like packing some clothes to stay 2 days to a week at a place, etc. On my daily commute I only carry a pair of headphones, a tupperware and a waterbottle. I might need to pack a 14'' laptop, but once a week.

I really like the look of the Zinch but I think that it may be too big and overkill for me. I'm a skinny, small guy. Can anybody with that backpack tell me if it's that big like the product shots?

Should I go for the Panel Loader? Even that one looks too big, but I love the look of them. Currently I have a Mil-Tec Assault Pack Small.

I am looking for my first sling bag for daily use and could use some recommendations. I am completely open to other brands, as long as they are budget friendly.

I found a Bellroy Sling Lite Mini (4L) for around 75 euros. Would that work well, or should I look at other options?

That price is already quite high for my usual spending, so I definitely do not want anything more expensive. I would prefer options that cost around that much or less.

Sizing and Daily Carry

For context, I am a smaller guy (163 cm and 53 kg). I was originally worried the standard 7L Bellroy Lite Sling would look too huge on me, but I think the 4L mini version should fit my daily carry:

• Phone
• Wallet
• Keys

• Pills
• Either sunglasses or regular glasses (depending on the day)

The Water Bottle Question

Since these smaller bags will not fit a regular 500ml water bottle, I would also love to hear suggestions on how people usually manage water when carrying a compact sling.

It's expandable from 40x30x20 to 45x36x20 size; it looks very interesting, but when I tried to email Samsonite to get the internal dimension measurements they told me that they don't have ithem.What a joke! 😅

For such an expensive bag they can't offer that simple information?
