Was the old Backrooms better?

i always assumed that the backrooms updated it's look as the years went on, defining the "average interior design" look, especially since it would imply reverse-time travel if it always looked like this even before 1980s-1990s interior design. people seem to imply that it's always looked like this though?

I replicated the look of a SONY HandyCam, specifically the DCR-SR45. Let me know what you think.

Found at work today lol.. was filled with some with white mystery stuff🤣🫤

I've noticed whenever someone proposes a new banner or pfp, they always side with the Kane lore, which even though those designs are cool, this sub is for The Backrooms in general.
So I stayed up at night to make and propose this banner which I attempted to capture both worlds at once, just like the already existing banner with the partygoer smile and the face mural from ff1.

The yellow lines are also just there to help me indicate what parts will be covered if this was the actual subreddit banner.

I feel like it could be a little too complicated, but I'm still satisfied with the final look.

I'll be happy if you give me your thoughts!

It doesn’t look great, but seeing as I am 13 I think it’s pretty decent (WIP)

It's the Tuesday night sit down, the only free night I have, the day before I have my day off tomorrow, and my time to watch a movie or tv.

Had the amazing pleasure of going into the movie blind, completely enthralled, went to YouTube and found Kane's page, went to the Backrooms Playlist, and watched them all.

Is there anything else from Kane? Should I watch his other video collections? Does he have any other stories of the Backrooms other than what's on his Kane Pixels page?

All due respect to fan video creations and tributes to this artwork, but I'd really like to stick to actual media from the mind (s?) behind the movie.

Thank you for any suggestions, I'll just be sitting here watching my favorite found footages again, waiting for someone who is not as new to this world to tell me if I missed anything else.
