Yes I hate The Bahamas.

I hate the traffic.

I hate our lousy good for nothing crooked piece of sh*t government.

I hate the idiot people who vote for the same 2 stupid ass parties.

I hate the school systems.

I hate how it's hard to find a good job.

I hate the customer service.

I hate how hard you have to try to talk to someone in a government building over the phone.

I hate how anybody can live here and have better opportunities than the citizens.

I hate the outfits.

I hate the ghetto people.

I hate the lawlessness.

I hate how dirty the people have the country.

I hate how we can't go on all our beaches.

I hate how underdeveloped the outer islands are.

I hate the roads.

I hate.

I hate the lies.

I hate how expensive everything is.

I hate the dilapidated buildings everywhere even downtown.

This country is a shit show. The Bahamas should be 50 years in the future instead It's stuck in 1973.

I am writing this with deep hate.

There are numerous graphic artists in The Bahamas and I'm sure the governing party wouldn't have problems finding a graphic artist to design a welcome sign so why go with the option of slop?

I've genuinely never had to catch a bus until recently so I don't know how. Where exactly am I supposed to go to get to Paradise Island? Which bus do I take?

Out of nowhere “cool my jets” came bubbling out of my mouth like it was the most natural thing. And I stopped and thought “I sound like Fred from the 50s finding a clever way to tell Betty to calm down without a frying pan upside the head”

Like HOW does somebody's clever little sentence cross the threshold into language?

Imagine being Jack Williamson in 1939 casually typing “cool your jets” into some pulp science-fiction story and then dying without ever knowing that nearly 90 years later a Bahamian woman would be somewhere saying, “I need to cool my jets.” 😂

And there are hundreds of these where I desperately want to witness Person Zero:

Why were horses involved in this argument??

Why are secrets beans??

What bucket was kicked and why did everybody immediately agree this meant death?

Possibly the most unhinged way imaginable to wish somebody good luck.

AND DON'T EVEN get me started on the Bahamian sayings

We changing up W’s to V’s and V’s to W’s purely for the dramatics I assume. Then it's 3 words that sounds like an announcement that someone's mother has fallen ill but noooooo….not real words at all….just an exclamation. Can be used positively or negatively.

How did awareness of something become something like “mussy”? Also can be used threateningly.

Were we trying to say boy and it got gnarled somehow? And why does it have so many different meanings/usage? It could be a person, thing or just some random expression.

And I can go on and on.

Language is basically millions of ancient inside jokes whose original group chat has been deleted. 😂

Hello! Just came back from vacationing in The Bahamas and lemme tell you the experience was GREAT.

Not only did I have a good time, but I also took a few empty pics to do "mixed reality art" on later. Basically you take a character and then put them into a photo to make them look like they're actually there.
