The hands and feet remind me of what I imagined when trying to picture the Bashrag, less so the rest. Though a "golden" helmet encasing the head does seem like something the Consult would try.

Not far off, OP! I would imagine Weapon Races based in Golgotterath do adorn themselves in some soggomant scrap. And body parts, of course.

Are there any instances in the books of soggomant being used for effective weapons/armour? My brain immediately classifies it as unsuitably malleable by association with gold. I recall Ishterebinth having a gate made of soggomant and a Nonman with soggomant mail or something, and Golggoterath has soggomant capped battlements.

Soggomant.

I just can't remember if any of those things are described as being "better" for having been made of/plated in it, compared to nimil which is objectively good.

Don't forget Sil's Shield is also made of soggomant! It looks like gold due to its color and sheen but it apparently isn't ,as it's frequently described as indestructible, at least by any force known to Nonmen and Men. ( Unless wielding other Tekne derived weapons, as seen with Kellhus toppling the Canted Horn.) Specifically, Ishterebint's Minror Gate you mention, even managed to repel the Horde during the Apocalypse as they could not breach it. So I would say in durability it defo surpasses nimil.

Helldivers does love making sure that you appreciate the new units they add, even if that means spawning dozens at once. I definitely agree that I much prefer fighting the other factions, something about Illuminate balance still doesn't feel quite right.

Good find. I wonder if the designer was influenced by Bakker. Everything besides the head and lack of hair is very close.
