Anyone know what my guy is doing !??

Fairly new owner this is my first ball python. He’s pewter banana ball and super docile and sweet but what is he doing? He often looks straight up in his enclosure and stretches all the way out towards the top. Does he need hides higher or more opportunities to get higher in his tank with toys or maybe a hammock??

Periscoping. He’s looking for things! Give him a high hide and I bet he’d use it.

That’s what I thought but I just wasn’t too sure periscoping for him usually looks pretty silly and this didn’t look like that so I wasn’t sure lol
