Question Humidity

Can my tank (4x1x1) have one consistent humid side where as the other is lower in humidity? My warm side temp (panel heat) stays consistent in temp 87-91 and my cool side temp stays around 80-81. NOW…. The warm side drops in humidity as the heat dries it out a lot. The humidity when I spray on warm side reaches 80-90 then drops in the hour to anywhere from 60-75%. BUT my cold side stays at 80-90% humidity after I spray for nearly the whole day. Do I need both sides identical in proper humidity? (Sorry if dumb question)

Dude I feel your struggle my warm side is always so annoying to keep the humidity up on, spraying as your main form of humidity management isnt recommend though as it leaves the surfaces wet and that can lead to scale rot, and as you can tell it only causes a brief spike in humidity then it drops, I'd recommend getting some spagnum moss and mixing that into the substrate, as well as switching to pouring water in the corners instead of spraying, that'll keep the humidity up decently without having to wet everything! And if you don't already have any mesh blocked off to stop the humidity escaping I'd recommend that too:]] also how old is your snake? Only 1 foot wide and tall sounds so small!

Your warm side will be lower in humidity bc of heating. As long as the snake has the option to go to higher humidity it should be fine. I also have an enclosed humid hide on my warm side if my gal wants to be warm and humid lol.

I do agree with the other comment tho, spraying isn’t efficient, deep substrate and pouring water in will work best. I also keep a large water bowl on the warm side to increase humidity. It shouldn’t ever drop below 60% if avoidable.

OKG also that’s scary… I spray his enclosure like a few times a day but I make sure there’s nothing PUDDLING or dripping wet. Maybe some of his plants in there have water droplets. Even if I go a couple days without spraying, his cool side stays near 80% humidity.

He’s 2 months. My enclosure is left to right and 1 inch and Something tall and 2 ft floor uhhhh, front to back. I mistakenly type 1 for both measurements. I read ball pythons aren’t the GREATEST climbers even tho some do enjoy it, I’ve heard mostly they need floor space as they spend most time hiding.
