Absolutely.
I have some shelves at different levels in my enclosure. One of them came fairly close to the front glass. Wasn't an issue until our girl found the gap. She could easily fit her head in there but would get stuck about 6inchs in and have to yank herself sideways out of the gap.
She did this multiple times once she found it.
I put a piece of driftwood in the gap so she couldn't get through it. She then spent about 40 minutes trying to yank this peice of driftwood out of the way to get her "smooshing" gap back.
Redid her enclosure afterwards and cut the shelf down a bit so there was more space. I can almost feel her disappointment now every time she goes up there.
