BIG TIME, dude bought the company I worked for and essentially fired all of us just because he could. Ruined the lives of dozens of people to make another few millions of dollars.

Oh so you didn't know that the owner in Major League was literally based on the Rams owner who moved the team? You didn't steal the plot from Major League because the Rams owner INSPIRED it. She then ran the team in the ground intentionally to move the team so your central premise isn't even right ignoring that.
