He simply returned what was wrongfully stolen. If a knight takes back and returns the treasures stolen of a coastal town from a den of pirates, we don’t call that pilfering. We call it an act of heroism. Should he spend more than the Padres and reach the playoffs, he will be canonized. Should he bring home a championship Angels fans will claim he’s baseball’s Jerry Buss. Now, for a new chant, “Bring back the California Angels!”
