After I’ve looked through some suggestions this is what I’ve added to my list not really in any specific order but i would probably read the older stories first is there anything else I should add

3.grantmorrison 1-3

5.the dark knight returns
6.black mirror
7.robin/batgirl/nighwing year one
8.batman dark patterns
9.Arkham asylum
10.j.Tomasis Batman and robin

Year one as origin Man who Laughs Long Halloween and Dark Victory as the finale.

However man who laughs is skippable and Long Halloween can start on its own even without the context of Year one that makes the story more interesting

Death in the family then you can choose under the Red Hood or Knightfall I haven't read those comics in so long. I'm more familiar with the movie versions

So I think Knightfall after death in the family and then under the Red Hood. Killing Joker is a good standalone story even Alan Moore ended up regretting it.

Hush to my knowledge haven't read the comic in ages has a scene where Batman tries to kill Joker and recalls events of killing Joke and death in the family.

I don't know if he is Jason back yet or not anyway Hush can easily pass off as a standalone story the previous ones aren't required reading but I read a list one time saying it takes place after under the Red Hood. Though Hush is considered the least intresting part of an otherwise good comic and heart of Hush is the more fleshed out story.

The court of Owls things is already done in order.

I didn't see the other past my bad.

I recommend Batman Earth 1 trilogy. Batman Zero Year nice origin. Batman Riddler Year one connected to the matt revees movie

Batman one bad day villain series which explores the other villains Clayface is easily the best so far did the Sony verse right.
