Football A good stat for Baylor heading against Auburn?

Obviously, stats are meant to be broken, and it really means nothing, but thought it was interesting that Baylor has never lost to Auburn as the 'away' team.

Small sample size, yes. But any hope is good. Lol

Student Life Is Baylor a good fit for me, a former Christian?

Hey all! I'm currently a senior at the University of Florida, looking at master's programs in higher education / student affairs. Baylor is a school that's caught my eye, primarily because of their fully-funded and theory-to-practice curriculum model. I'd also love the chance to move out to Texas.

I'm wondering if I, as a grad student, would be able to fit in and "find my people" at Baylor. While I grew up in an Episcopalian family, nowadays I've left Christianity/organized religion and mainly consider myself a "hopeful agnostic". I've heard an array of different things about Baylor and I'm curious what the general sentiment/vibe is. I'm fine with a little religion, but definitely nothing overbearing (i.e. BYU, Liberty University, Bob Jones University, etc).

Thank you for any answers! :)

Discussion New Rule: Advertisements and lease takeover posts are no longer allowed.

Earlier this week, I ran a poll to get y'all's opinions on whether these types of posts should be allowed. The answer was pretty definitive. From now on, advertisements for services, requests for services, and lease takeover posts are not allowed as part of the subreddit. This rule has been added to the official subreddit rules, and will be enforced with the following:

* First offense: Post removal and warning.

* Second offense: Post removal and one week ban.

* Third offense: Post removal and permanent ban.

I really appreciate everyone giving their feedback! Thanks for helping me make the subreddit better. Sic em, r/Baylor!

Football I'm not ready to give up on DJ Lagway

DJ Lagway might have one of the widest ranges of outcomes of any transfer QB this season.

His 2025 tape was difficult. He threw 14 interceptions and never really built on the momentum from his freshman year.

But I'm not convinced the talent disappeared.

As a freshman he averaged 10.0 yards per attempt and showed the arm talent that made him such a highly regarded recruit.

Now he gets a fresh start at Baylor, back in his home state, with an offense that has already shown it can produce through the air.

That's why I still have Lagway No. 7 in my transfer QB rankings for 2026. It's certainly not without risk, but there's considerably more upside here than his 2025 season suggests.

Full Top 10 and write-ups:

What's the feeling among Baylor fans? Are you expecting something closer to freshman-year Lagway?

Discussion Should r/Baylor allow advertisements and lease takeover posts that are tangentially related to the university?

We have had an uptick in these types of posts lately, and I'd like to know the attitude of the sub toward them. Ads that have been allowed recently include piano lessons taught by a current student. Lease takeover posts also happen regularly, and those that are allowed are usually from student housing or majority-student properties. Do y'all mind these posts, or should they be limited some way?

33 Do not allow ads
5 Do not allow lease takeover posts
49 Do not allow either
46 Quarantine both types in sequestered threads with a link on the sidebar

Student Life Bachelor’s Graduation Gown

For your gown, does it usually run too big if you put your REAL weight and height in? should you size up somehow?
I’m 5’2”… but I’ll be wearing 2 inch heels that day so what should I put for my height?
Also, when should I place my order for it, if I graduate in December?

Hi, I'm a pre med and I want to get clinical hours. I want to volunteer with the Robinson Fire Department as an EMT. Unfortunately I do not have a car and the departments policy won't allow me to use uber or anything like that. I was wondering if anyone who is also volunteering or knows someone who is volunteering there ,if willing to give me a ride if convenient. Thank you.

Student Life Learn Your Favorite Songs by Ear From Day 1 - $25 Piano Lessons For Baylor Students

Hey guys! I'm a Baylor senior living at UParks, and I'm offering private piano lessons for anyone who's wanted to learn but doesn't know where to start.

From your first lesson, we'll start working on a song YOU choose. I'll teach you how to play by ear and memory, with no sheet music or previous musical experience required. You could have never touched an instrument before and that's completely fine.

I've taught this way before with students from my youth group when I was younger. Within their first hour, I've had students playing recognizable arrangements of songs they'd picked themselves from artists like Limp Bizkit, The Beatles, Nickelback, Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Slipknot, Bon Jovi, Skillet, and 3 Doors Down. One guy even learned songs from video games like Mega Man and Sonic. I'm happy to work with pretty much whatever music you're interested in.

Lessons can be at my apartment at University Parks or wherever suitable location you would like, and I have a keyboard here, so you don't need to own or bring anything to get started!

If you're interested, just send me a message with a couple songs you'd love to learn. My schedule is pretty flexible, and we can find a time that works.

RATES: $25 for a 45 minute lesson

Refer someone who books and completes a lesson -> $10 off your next lesson

EDIT: I'm also happy to travel to you on campus for no additional charge! My keyboard is portable, so if you have a suitable space with an outlet, I can bring everything needed for the lesson.

Additionally, if you take your first lesson and don't feel like it was worthwhile, just let me know and I'll refund the full lesson price. No worries, and no hard feelings.

His ratings are mixed on BU books, some say he’s the worst others say he’s the best, others say he’s ok. Figured I’d ask here as well. Did anyone have him? And if so, what were your thoughts, and any advice you can offer? Thank you!

Football What signature taste of Baylor should I recreate?

Thumbnail alfafarmers.org
14 Upvotes

Hello Baylor fans and alumni, I am an Auburn alum coming in peace. During the football season, I like to make meals that are themed around the football day - for example, this year for week zero the game I'm most excited about is Hawaii at Stanford, so I'm making Spam musubi to celebrate the rainbow warriors.

I must confess that outside of watching a couple of your games each year, I don't know much about Baylor and your traditions. Is there a food or beverage that you particularly associate with Baylor? I'm a decent cook (and an award winning chili cook) and have access to a wide variety of grocery stores, so should be able to source anything that's not Texas-specific as far as ingredients go (and am willing to order Texas specific things on the internet).

So what should I eat or drink for the Auburn / Baylor game to toast you guys in the spirit of good sportsmanship? I'd love to hear about whatever local place has the best burgers or a cocktail that the dive bar near campus always has on special.

As a gesture of good faith, this post links to the Alabama farmers association recipe for the toomers lemonade, undoubtedly the beverage most associated with Auburn. It's a simple recipe, and so I'll say something obvious and say you should use the highest quality ingredients available. Their recipe makes quite a lot of lemonade, scale to your own needs accordingly, but it's been a hit at every tailgate I've ever hosted, even non Auburn ones.
