Discussion Did the Beatles have to work harder on singing harmony as compared to the Everly’s , Beach Boys and Bee Gees?

those names have sibling harmonies and would just blend naturally and effortlessly. the Everlys were singing since they were 8 and 6, with their parents thats why their voices are so natural. What we hear on later records is just a product of the stuff they were singing all those years trying to get a record. im sure its the same with the bee gees and beach boys.

Mccartney was singing in a choir prior to the Beatles. they never had formak training but im sure around 1957/1958 when George joined the band that is when they practiced so obviosly they never had the same amount of time as the others I mentioned. Having said that would those gruelling sets in Hamburg force them to sing at their best? I remember John stating that their best harmonies were not even recorded.

I think it's all used for A Hard Day's Night album cover, but I couldn't find the individual photos for each members of the fab four. Where do these image come from so I can find them.

Edit: I found one other photos for each fab four, but I'm sure it's a full set of photos and I want to find the rest of it.

Discussion The Beatles must have known Paul was on some crazy upswing

My God.

I love all eras of the Beatles. John is still my favorite.

But good Lord, Paul was on another stratosphere around the time of Let it Be/Abbey Road/Ram. I sometimes wonder if the other two writers (Lennon and Harrison) were kinda like "This dude is cooking too much, we gotta bail".

I'm not sure they felt they could really keep up with him, nor do I think they wanted to.

Discussion Paul and John versions of "All Things Must Pass"

So we know 12 songs (some reportedly going as far back as 1966) from ATMP were written when George was still with the Beatles. They were either passed over or withheld by George. Adding his songs that made Beatles albums from Sgt. Pepper on to ATMP, can either John or Paul compete if you created an album of just their Beatles songs (not co-written) and songs written while they were Beatles on their solo albums? Basically, if you had to choose which one and only one you could take with you to listen to for the rest of your life which would it be?

Here are the albums

Discussion How would The Beatles have adapted to the 70s?

The 70s were very rocky. Like consider their biggest rivals, the Stones, they put out Exile on Main St in ‘72 - what would the Beatles’ “response” if you will have been?

What about the rise of all the heavier groups like Black Sabbath & Led Zeppelin and such?

That this era was not only the music, but also all the big bands were arena acts

How could they have remained relevant say 72-73-74-75? What do you think they’d have done?

Question Currently sitting in an airport waiting to fly to London & Liverpool, what can I not miss?

We’ll be doing a tour of Liverpool and a tour of Abbey Road and the Hard Days Night filming locations. Any spots in either city we should make a point of seeing? Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Dungeon Lane obviously. The church, their houses, the cavern. Anywhere else? Thanks!

Question Song you know is good but just can’t seem to like?

Does anyone else have one or a few Beatles tracks that you can recognize for their achievement or know are super loved or important to their catalogue but just don’t fit your taste at all? I ask because for me it’s Let it Be. I am a Paul stan and adore most of his softer songs but I just find it too repetitive and drags a little too long, I recognize it’s huge and impactful but for me it would barely be top 100 in their catalogue.

This is from the live All You Need Is Live performance video on youtube, and at this part (1:46) it sounds like George is singing the lyric but everywhere else it states that Lennon sang lead on both the studio and live version?

Found this in Seoul, S. Korea while vinyl digging. Paid $5. Looks like early 70's pirate/ counterfeit copy of that era. LP is VG. Sounds good. Minor surface noise in quiet areas of the LP.
