have you noticed that (almost?) every registration form for a tech meeting has a required field asking for the employer name?

i've tried to get in as (temporarily) unemployed, unsuccessfully.

is it a cultural thing - to keep people without current job, or who do not want to disclose their workplace (due to policies for example), out of tech meetings?

Tomorrow I got some time before work and since all my friends are working 9-5 I decided to plan a solo outing in the city by myself.

I thought about the usual chilling at a park, visiting a museum or eating at a restaurant but I wanted to try something different.

Specifically, my free time is between 12:00 and 18:00 so any suggestions for such a quest would be amazing.

Ideally I'm looking for something low cost/free, solo-friendly and kinda relaxing. It can be on a social setting too!

Benutze seit Jahren Telekom (DSL) als meinen Internetanbieter und habe so gut wie 0 Ausfälle.

Bei mir war nur DSL möglich und maximal 50 mb/s und es lief einwandfrei. Auch bei mehreren Benutzer. Ich erwäge einen Wechsel wenn ich was sinnvolles finde, um Kosten zu sparen.

Ich hatte mal Vodafone DSL und war davon traumatisiert wie schlecht das war!

Nun scheint bei mir Kabel auch möglich zu sein, bis 1000 mb/s.

Wie ist PYÜR Kabel/DSL in meiner Umgebung ?
Wie sieht es mit Vodafone Kabel aus? Oder hat jemand gute Erfahrung mit 1&1 gemacht?

O2 werde ich gar nicht in Erwägung ziehen ._.

Yo Leudies, mein Sozialleben ist so ziemlich im Arsch seit ich in Berlin wohne haha. Habe mich vor kurzem wieder im Gym angemeldet in meiner Nähe, im SuperFit Gropius - war vorher im FitX.
Vielleicht hat ja jemand Lust zusammen zu trainieren. (Mo/Mi/Fr) Wär auf jedenfall auch bereit mal außerhalb des Gyms was zu starten, solang die Sympathie passt, darf aber auch gern was sportliches sein.
(Bin M/24, bin im Aufbau weil fucking dünn & vorweggesagt nicht wirklich der extrovertierte Typ lol)

Long story short,

I got a cervical radioculopathy ( its called pinched nerve too) and my neuro going to give me a steroid injections in my neck. I am in so much pain but the latest appointment they give me for 23 sep, then follow up 2 more injections again 2 weeks apart. As they have no appointment free at their clinic.

I mean if somone in pain isnt it making it worse to wait so long to get injection?

I never knew situation is so bad in berlin!

They give me medicine for heavy dose of pain relief but isn't it better to treat straight away ( I am alreday on med from them 3 weeks alreday).

Hopeless ! Guys don't get sick here..I am fluent in German..so its not about communication at all..

Hi. My wife is Spanish and I’m English. She lives and works here in Berlin and I’ve moved here in May with her. We have now moved into our new place and have Anmeldung and I have applied for the Residency Permit for Family Members of Nationals of EU Member States.

I’ve sent the email off to them and am still waiting for a response of any kind. I’ve now overstayed my Schengen-allotted 3 months and so therefore without this evidence that I’ve applied I’ve basically overstayed my welcome. We would like to go to Spain by November or so (and Spain and U.K. by Christmas) to see her family but I’m worried I either wouldn’t be let in to Spain due to Schengen overstay and/or wouldn’t be let BACK into Germany. I’d read it would be fine if we were travelling together with a marriage certificate, but I don’t want to be too risky with paying for flights etc.

It’s a slightly niche situation I suppose but has anyone else had any experience with this & can provide some insight into what I can expect? Should I go down to the immigration offices and try and get seen to sooner? It’s a stressful situation to be in this limbo and be unsure if I’m even welcome despite reading that I have strong EU-based rights due to the marriage.
