I like wearing the combo of a jacket, shirt, and trousers/jeans. These are some of my recent outfits and I’m wondering what yall think works or doesn’t work. Hoping that because this is a sub that’s meant for bigger guys that I can get some more specific advice and less comments telling me to lose weight (it’s happening, slowly)!

Question - US Raglan Tees

For those of you that are buying ragaln tees, why are you buying them? because they make your shoulders/arms look bigger and well rounded? they look good on you? you noticed more women complimenting you? asking because theres just certain shirts where women love on me. For example, (tank tops from young-LA) they show the chest very well. But i love raglan tees, and also wanted to see what you guys pair it with, jeans and air force-1s or boot cut jeans with cowboy boots and etc... would love your opinions and how you guys rock them. (also i love wearing clothing that women love lmao)

I’ve never been to a bar or club i have no clue what people wear to those type of things. My buddies and i are going to san diego for that weekend and don’t know how the weather would factor into choosing the outfits. I’m currently on my weight loss journey I use to weigh 350b currently at 295lb. i’m 6’3 and i wear XXL shirts and for pants i’m currently 42x32. would love to incorporate hoodie or some type of jacket but again.. the weather i always sweat.

Question - US Suggestions for business conference attire (Chicago)

M50 6’2”, 295#
XXL shirt, 40x30” pants

Going to a conference in four weeks for three days. I don’t want to just do khakis and jeans - would like to step the game up a bit, without breaking the bank.

Please don’t suggest DXL - Nice stuff, but I’m a spot where their smallest sizes are big on me and I’m focusing on losing weight, so I don’t want to buy clothes that may get bigger.

I like quarter zips, regular pullovers and hoodies (not sure that’s for a conference, but still). Would like to look “put together” and not sloppy (which I feel like sometimes).

Any suggestions on where to look? I have a gastric condition that (among many issues) can cause bloating, so some days the stomach is normal and some days I feel pregnant. Also bigger thighs here, so no skinny leg jeans or anything like that.

Thank you!

General DXL Dropping Named Brands

Just left a DXL in Mass, outside of Boston. Náutica was gone entirely. As was Brooks Brothers. All the rest (polo, UntuckIT, Vineyard Vines) was clearly only what they had left. O cornered the manager and he admitted that DXL is going all but remove named brands and sell mostly their own store brands - Harbor Bay, True Nation, Synergy, and Oak Hill.

I’m pretty disappointed tbh, it is the only store we big guys can go in and shop named brands off the rack. Some of the clothes from the DXL brands are good, I like the new line of Oak Hill pants. But can’t beat Brooks Brothers for work shirts and summer looks from Vineyard Vines. Being able to get UntickIT shirts in my size was awesome.

I guess it online shopping only…and that sucks. Idk why the stand alone named brands stores don’t just start carrying the big and tall sizes. Frustrated.

Question - US Most comfortable shop pants?

What’s up guys? I work in manufacturing and we’re required to have mutilation-free work pants. I’m 6’6”, 450 and usually wear a 54-56, with a 32 or 34 in-seam.

Can anyone recommend a brand that is comfortable for large thighs, keeps your crack covered, lightweight and breathable, and durable for 3-5 miles of walking around?

I’m also in the market for good belts that won’t break and won’t stretch out of shape too soon.

Any help will be appreciated.

Question - US Rain jacket

Hey big boys! I'm looking for a recommendation on a rain jacket for walking, both for wearing around the city and for hiking.

Around town, I've been wearing an LLBean one that looks great, but I get sweaty wearing it if it's too humid.

For hiking, I've never been happy and mostly use rain ponchos.

Is anyone enthusiastic about their rain jacket or other raingear?

Question - US Big T-Shirts (4xl) Where to Find?

Hello Gentlemen,

I am having a terrible time finding decent t-shirts that are comfortable and fit pretty good that are decently priced.

I am traditionally a 4xl/4xb. Alot of my weight currently sits in my midsection. My job also involves me moving in and out of my office and shop, so they get dirty and i tend to replace them often.

Now normally I would jump on amazon and buy the 4XB (not 4xl) champion t-shirts. Those are super soft, had the right amount of stretch to cover the spare tire, and went through the wash with no issues. As of late though, it seems they have stopped producing them. The 4xl shirts that they do have are tight, not as comfortable, and shorter.

Where are you guys getting your t-shirts from? Ive tried dickies, carhartt and a few others and they are either too big, too small, too short, terrible quality, etc.

Edit: Thank you all for the responses! I wasn’t expecting this much feedback.
