Ten years ago, BIONICLE Generation 2 came to an unexpected end, leaving fans wondering what could have been.
it's your chance to answer that question! What if BIONICLE G2 never ended?
Create an original G2 character, creature, or concept as a physical MOC, digital MOC, or artwork, then write a short story (up to 1,200 characters) imagining how it would fit into a hypothetical Year 3.
Think big! Makuta reborn as a dragon, new Rahi, pirate factions, the Toa as ninjas, or new heroes and villains ready to shape Okoto's future. These are only examples. Surprise us with your ideas and show us the Year 3 you always imagined!
5 winners will be selected!
Each winner will receive an official BIONICLE set paired with a custom dual-colour casted Mask of Ultimate Power. Winners will get to choose their prize in placement order.
I'm incredibly excited to have a group of talented creators from across the BIONICLE community helping judge the contest! Each brings their own perspective on building, creativity, and storytelling.

I can't find an exact date, but in September 2016, the last Bionicle Generation 2 set, 601602 Ekimu Falcon, AKA Agil, was released in the Bionicle magazine. It was the final set ever made under the Bionicle theme.
I actually have an interesting history with this set. When I first saw it, I was surprised they even made a set of Agil from Journey to One. But since it was only released in the European Bionicle magazine, I had no way to get it in Canada. I was about to order all the pieces on Bricklink, when I found someone overseas selling the foil pack, new and sealed. Agil was the first Lego set I ever bought on Bricklink.
This may not be the sendoff set Bionicle deserved, but it's a really cute build that's surprisingly poseable with a lot of personality. He's also a perfect addition to Ekimu the Mask Maker. I love how Agil can perch on Ekimu's arm, and his stand doubles as a holder for Ekimu's shield on his leg. Ekimu is my favourite G2 set and this makes it even better.
It's very likely unintentional, but Agil can connect to the holes in the side of a Mata arm. So you can have the first ever Bionicle set, Tahu Mata, holding the final ever Bionicle set, which I have pictured here. There's something kinda poetic about that.

Brought all the coolest stuff home - Bakugan, 2002 Star Wars lightsaber kits, Hex Bots, NES and a ton of games, but when I saw the Bionicle logo I knew I found some treasures. Then I Google Lens'd the mask!
The orange shooter is cracked so can't create a vacuum to shoot balls. The mask needs some steaming to get it closer to its original state. But there are 11 balls total, and the red shooter is fire!
Love finding rare and cool Lego stuff.

After 15 years, I decided to return to the Bionicle fandom, and initially, I felt the Vahki were the most boring antagonists much like the Visorak.
Over time, however, my opinion changed drastically.
Now, they are my favorite canister sets from the pre-inika build era.
I absolutely love their TV commercials and the web animations that showcase their monstrous nature and their grandeur as enforcers of tyranny

I never had the Voyatoran sets but I didn't like that they lacked eyes and that they just reused the Toa Metru masks, so I swapped their masks around and gave them flat-backed eyes (part 57536), except for Kazi, where I replaced the grey socket joint that served as his 'head' with a trans-light blue one.
For some reason Bricklink Studio gave me trouble attaching Garan and Velika's weapons to their hands but I managed to finagle them on and keep them attached by making them into sub-models.

Literally had to use a throwaway account because I have a feeling I’m going to get downvoted for this 😕
I’ve always wanted to get into Bionicle and order some old sets. Unlike most retired lego sets, where the value between used and new isn’t like crazy drastic, sealed Bionicle for $300 vs like $30 built is a no brainer.
However, I suffer from really bad contamination OCD and germaphobia. I’m not worried about catching anything, it’s more about considering where these pieces have been and everything.
Bionicle parts seem the easiest to clean compared to regular lego which is good, but can assure me the best way to sanitize and cleanse them?
And for the canisters too? Can I wash them? Any help or suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you in advance

So like, not only did I rebuild Takanuva in yellow, but I felt he should be able to combine with Makuta, but there was no way I could get it to work with the original Makuta set. The prototype, however? PERFECT! So, using parts from Takanuva himself, a modified prototype Makuta with improved legs and the final version's mask, parts from the Ussanui, and a few extra parts, I've made a Takutanuva that feels even more like a fusion that the original, with the yellow adding a nice color contrast.

I mean, I didn't expect Kai to win. Death battle's whole logic was a bit flawed. Kai can't run at light speed like Jay, because when Jay was being chased by the Lightning Dragon, the beast was flying quite slowly. Also, the start stuff doesn't make sense. If this is post merge Kai, then the Sword of Fire should be powered by his internal elemental energy, not the power of the sword itself. But Kai definitely has more experience than Tahu. Tahu might be 100000 years old, but has only had 2 years of battle experience as he was stuck in stasis for most of that time. Kai has had way more years of battle experience. Kai is also more agile than a Toa, with Spinjitzu and his Acrobatic skills giving him an edge.
But Tahu has way wore power. The Kanohi masks (not including the Vahi) have near extreme levels of power. Tahu has 12 in total, his base Kanohi and the 6 Noble Kanohi. If they whipped out his Adaptive armour, Kai would've been cooked. The Adaptive armour shapes itself to suit the user in miliseconds, as shown when Kopaka and Pohatu went into space. But I understand why they didn't do that as making too many mocs would put too much strain on Apartment D. But even without that, Tahu in the Golden Armour has 42 different Kraata powers (Kraata being super powered slugs that control mech suits called Rahkshi). The most important ones to consider in this battle are Fire resistance, Quick healing, Hunger, Invulnerability, Illusion, Mind reading, Shapeshifting, Vaccum, Teleportation, Fear, Accuracy and Adaptation. And even without those, the Nova Blast is way more powerful than a Spinjitzu Burst. When cole used it, it wasn't like stones and dirst started circling around his before releasing outwards. By contrast, a Nova Blast (especially from a Toa with energy based capabilities) would be stronger in magnitudes.
In short, this would've been a clean sweep for Tahu, but I'm happy that Kai won as I'm also a Ninjago fan.

I imagine this character as a dark hunter type, with an emphasis on the cyborg qualities and heavy body modification. At some point Kilspeth lost a left arm and right distal leg and had them replaced by potentially better cybernetics. He’s a blueberry yogurt guy so it flows in his tubes and then poisons the projectile spears on his extendable giant blade. His robotic hand offers less dexterity in exchange for greater power.
His short held blade is red for the reason you think it to be red. He does enjoy strawberry yogurt too from time to time, but the world of Bionicle doesn’t have many more cutlery options than knives. His giant blade can retract back onto his upper arm keeping it out of the way offering more room for his arm.
Thanks for looking at my Bionicle

With the Mistika the Toa masks were changed to have an axle hole connector rather than a molded axle. This stopped the masks from having the holes that came with the molding process. Unfortunately it also was the wave that came with the guy who has the iconic mouth hole in all his other forms.
An effect of most sets being designed outside of any storyline at this point. It’s surprising that Kopaka ended up having a scope at all, despite it being the wrong eye.
