I recently had several Bisq v1 trades fail and lost roughly 0.001 BTC in trade/miner fees, although my security deposits were eventually returned.

The errors included:

• “Snapshot height does not match”
• “BSQ UTXOs are not matching”
• Prepared delayed payout transaction IDs not matching
• Missing deposit transaction

I updated from v1.10.6 to v1.10.7 and used the normal DAO/SPV rebuild options, but the UTXO mismatch remained.

I then backed up Bisq, closed it, and manually renamed the live BsqBlocks folder and DaoStateStore file so Bisq would recreate them.

Afterwards:

• The DAO rebuild completed and passed all checkpoints.
• The fresh log showed zero new BSQ UTXO mismatches.
• Bisq processed 18 additional blocks cleanly.
• There were no new snapshot-height or delayed-payout errors.

My local installation now appears fixed, but I’m hesitant to risk another maker/trade fee if other peers are still running corrupted v1.10.6 data.

Has anyone completed a normal BTC/GBP Faster Payments trade on v1.10.7 since this hotfix? Did both sides need to manually rebuild their DAO datastore, or was updating enough?

Why is it that I can add an account for Animecoin, a coin no one has heard of ever in the history of the universe, but I can't add Monero, one of the most popular cryptocurrencies available? It was there before I updated, and now it is not. Please help me make sense of this.

E: This is fixed now, but apparently there's now a bug regarding a corrupted DAO, whatever that is, and now I need to update again. The issue is there's no update for the binary available on the AUR, so I don't know what that's about. I miss the days when I could just buy XMR through cake wallet and avoid all this. I'm not a cryptography genius, I'm just the average stupid person. This is far too complicated for me.

I’m buying BTC on Bisq and paid a 15% security deposit. Unfortunately, my UK bank completely blocked the bank transfer, and I am unable to complete the payment to the seller.

I’ve contacted my bank to get this resolved but they’re saying it could take a few days whilst they review my account.

Any advice? I’m not trying to lose my whole security deposit

I've been wanting to buy some crypto, but I don't want to sign up for any of the big exchanges because I outright refuse to give coinbase my ssn. To this end, I've started on bisq and I want to buy some crypto for the first time. The problem I'm running into is funding my trade. It seems like trades can only be funded by BTC, but I don't have any BTC. So I feel like I'm stuck in a classic catch 22, is there something obvious I'm missing? Can I fund the trade with fiat? is there some other service/site/whatever to buy crypto with fiat?

I sold some BTC but was unable to receive the payment. Should I just wait until the max allowed trade period expires, and then open up a dispute? It was completely my mistake, but it's a lot of money to lose for a small mistake

I recently bought some bitcoin for about $500. The blockchain confirmation has gone through and I've sent the payment, but it's been 12 hours of the 24 hour trade period, and I've heard nothing from the seller about recieving my payment. What happens if the trade period runs out? Do I lose out on the BTC that's been sent to me, or do I keep it? Will I also keep the security deposit?

This is the second time in a row that my transaction has been stuck waiting for blockchain confirmation, even though it has already been confirmed. I checked the mempool, and it shows as confirmed. The transaction IDs for the maker fee, the taker fee, and the security deposit have all been confirmed on the blockchain as well. What should I do now?

I had already installed Bisq-64bit-1.10.2.deb directly from https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/releases/ and created my first offer. Since two days it suddendly started showing these messages. I checked the version and reinstalled it. Same problem. Will it be fixed soon?

Transaction deposit ID missing (N/A) but is confirm on blockchain . I'm selling and got buyer money on my bank. I can't confirm nor chat. I tried Spv resync and dao is up to date. What can i do?

This is the latest version I can find, I can't trade at all at the moment?

I like the whole idea of Bisq, but too many issues lately, not sure if this platform is the way forward.

Hi, I tried downloading Bisq 2.1.11.exe and also the debian package on different machines and both times, it loaded the entire thing and at the very end told me the download had failed.

Is this a known issue? The signing entries on the wiki seem to be about installing it, not downloading it. Has anyone else experienced that issue, is there something faulty about the website atm? I could download Bisq 1 without problems, but not Bisq 2.

Windows 10 and Firefox for the .exe-version, Ubuntu 24.04 with Firefox for the .deb-package.

I tried Bisq2 and found out that the fees are extremely high since it seems not many people are using it, so I think it's better to use Bisq1 instead.

However, it seems Bisq2 is not an alternative but the planned successor of Bisq1 so someday it will be abandoned.

Why does it proof or lead someone to assume that one would be reliable? Isn't it just buying reputation?

Is it due to the low sell limits, so that burning BSQ + scamming would always result in a financial failure for the scammer?
