I really hate saying this, Unfortunately there is no way Boeing or Ben loses on this. There is already a blueprint that was successfully accomplished, it's called Northwestern airlines.
First, Boeing offers horrible contracts and hopes you all accept. If you don't, first they bring in scabs to to keep Boeing running. Then they bring entire new work force at cheaper wages. With about 200,000 engineers graduating each year in the US and about 77,000 unemployed. Not even mentioning over seas, it doesn't help, so either way Boeing wins.
I really wish this wasn't the case and I hope you all get the best contract you can. Just also don't over play the cards you do have, like an experienced work force, integrity, etc. Don't stop fighting, strong, and get what you can.

Have you looked at the difference in size between the IAM and SPEEA?
Have you looked at the available workforce to replace the IAM?
Could it have been done? Yes, but it would be a much bigger and longer undertaking. Look at how long it has taken BSC up and running. Even then they still sending aircraft to everett to be fixed. Now imagine trying to replace the entire IAM. It would cripple Boeing for at least a decade.
Replacing SPEEA would have a large impact, but not as much as the IAM.
Don't get me wrong Engineers are super important and deserve a good contract. Unfortunately, leverage is real. Just saying don't over play the actual leverage you have.

There are critical skills that SPEEA members have that cannot be replaced easily or quickly. Namely FAA delegation and Liaison engineering authorization. This is what made the original SPEEA strike work in 2000 and what is key now. In addition there's an expensive time critical certification program going on called the 777x. The issue for Boeing is how much pain are they are will suffer (cost) versus how much pain (lost wages) SPEEA members are will to accept. Unfortunately its always about money rather than just doing the right thing to make everyone happy. #NoNerdsNoBirds

Bro pull my other leg. There are a lot of critical assigned roles that have to be earned. MRBs for liaison in the factory. E-UM and DAE. You donāt just hire a person off the street ready to go and certified

Possibly but highly unlikely. The union is too strong here and Boeing is entrenched in Washington State. To rebuild the 737 lines and all that is Everett would take years of planning and then where would you get all the skilled laborers. Most would not want to move to another state.
They didnāt just invest and open a brand new North line to move it out of state. Moving corporate offices is one thing but moving the entire final assembly production facility would take at least 10 to 20 years of meticulous planning. And thatās like having someone operational sound at the helm handling a monstrous task like that.
So what ever OP wrote is total B.S. I call it like I see it.
