MA Laws Question 8
Hey everyone! Haven't seen any posts here but the state primary election is today. I'm personally voting no on question 8 but I wanted to remind everyone to get out there and vote!

It only looks new because they hide their posts. You can check someone's "hidden" post history with this:Ā

It's a fun tool! Check out author Freedom710 or SnooDoughnuts5349 for a better understanding of how this sub "works"

OK and if you actually care about legal cannabis, you advocating to vote yes is just going to label you a criminal at worst or a degenerate at best.
You better think the problem through a bit more.

I don't fuck with illegal shit. I had weed that was dusted 15 years ago from someone I thought I could trust. Never purchased illegally gain. Also I'm sure all the illegal growers are all about standards, controls, and testing.. Right...

lots of evidence out there that corporations do everything they can to cheat standards and testing

OK? And? At least it's something.. With home grows being illegal as well I sure as shit bet you people aren't going to be growing in the best sanitary conditions.

It's something alright. When the CCC gives up and lets people microwave before testing you know the problem is bad I only trust places where I know growers

I'd rather get irradiated weed then weed sprinkled with hallucinogens again or god knows what given the dealers are typically selling multiple different substances.

Maybe get out there and meet actual people in the competitive business scene then?
Sounds like maybe your grower canāt actually compete and has no verified process where the end product is lab tested?
And before you complain about how companies can āfoolā lab testing⦠maybe save that mental effort and advocate for better testing and validation rather than burning it all down?

I pay taxes so the people that are supposed to advocate for my safety do just that and they failed.
Who are the people in the "competitive business scene" I should "get out there and meet"? The people growing moldy microwaved bud you mean?

u/acousticentropy 10h ago
Yes and I pay taxes so that kids can pass the MCAS and the pertinent authorities failed in that endeavor.
But there aināt a chance in hell that the right solution to that problem is āabolishā or deregulate schoolsā¦
As for the people in the competitive scene⦠You claim your guyās grow process is clean, but heās not actually in the same league as professional grow operations. He doesnāt have to do any kind of verification at all.
Itās like saying you only catch footballs thrown by QBs you know⦠but you only happen to know QBs playing at the high school level, only in your county.
Thereās bigger leagues with elite performers out there⦠go find them and you might learn a thing or two.

I know plenty of professional growers and they have also been let down by the system. I won't make assumptions about you and you don't make any about me and that's how normal conversations go. Otherwise you're shouting into the void like a fox news host.
It's easy to downvote and troll or shout. Doesn't go anywhere though as we've all learned...or not....

Youāre concerned that contaminated cannabis can reach consumers because the current testing and regulatory system sometimes fails. OK.
Abolishing or deregulating the licensed industry doesnāt improve that failure mode. It removes the very mechanisms available to detect, document, trace, penalize, and correct it.
If your complaint is āthe verification system isnāt reliable enough,ā then the coherent solution is more reliable verification, not less verification.
You can tell me about every grower in your contact list and it wonāt bridge that logical gap. āThe safety system sometimes fails, therefore dismantle the safety systemā is not a solution to the safety problem you introduced.

Go fuck right off. You disingenuous dumbass.
I'll take "overpriced" ($100/oz) "corporate" warehouse pot over the 300/oz shady backstreet dumbass dealer pot.Ā
Fuck right off.

u/Alternative-Mind9087 11h ago
No quotes needed around corporate lots of corporate weed here and it's way worse than any dealer unless dealer houses are infested using pesticides and microwaving moldy bags

u/nicane 10h ago
Who the fuck are you buying from then?Ā
I have had a couple bad batches from dispensaries... I've had COUNTLESS bad experiences with dealers.
You fucking dumbass.
But yes, I know some of these entities are large scale corporations, in fact in MA quite a few are. Regardless, I'd rather pay 100/oz for very good quality marijuana than 300/oz for potentially good marijuana and more than likely not.Ā

The people in this sub arenāt bums who need to text someone 4 hours in advance and wait around to pick up a $225 zip with no laboratory data on it.
We get that shit delivered and skim the test results on our phone before we even purchase.
We donāt want unverified product floating around this state because thereās no intelligent reason for that.

u/Alternative-Mind9087 10h ago
Oh I understand that side of the issue and that most people here agree. Also still voting yes

Question 8 isn't being voted on today. That's in November. Today is just the primaries.
