Bummer, I love that direct route to UW.Ā  I am sure many commuters will have to patch together another, more difficult, way to get to work.

I haven’t heard anything about this. Are they cutting this route?

Did not here about this either but looks like the 29th is the last day.

I'd really love to know what year the 372 started service.

I rode 372 to UW in 1991-1995.

I believe it was around the time when the University of Washington station opened so about 2016.

I first rode it in 2007, back then it was a disel high floor bus. I know there used to be the 307 before it

I think you are right. I know something changed in 2016. When I moved to Bothell in 2013 I lived next to a bus stop that had several Metro bus routes. After reading your reply I believe it was the 372 and a route to downtown Seattle. I believe in 2016 the bus to downtown stopped and the frequency for the 372 increased. I never rode the 372 until it connected with the light rail station because if I was riding the bus I was going downtown.

This pic is from 2012 (not mine, just think it's neat)

That bus and I had a 7 year love affair. If I didn’t want to bike the Burke, I’d slide down my hill on 62nd,catch it and get to the U. Bike home. Or do it in Reverse…

Always. Efficient…and somehow, always room for my bike, in the dreaded only 2 spaces. Well. Not always. Which is why the Burke rocked it to Kenmore. ā™„ļø loved you!
And loved seeing you roll up to save me and get me home after a brain explosion of learning….
the Lake! Breathing again….
bye!!!

Doesn't 522 run the same route but longer?

After the 29th it won’t. 522 will go to 145th and then make its way to the Shoreline South Station

EHAT?! That's so stupid.

So there is no longer a direct route from UWB to UW Seattle?

nope! You can take the 522 from UWB to shoreline south and transfer to light rail there

The 72 starts from the u district and goes to shoreline south, from u district to lake city way and 145th it follows the same path as the 372 before heading west on 145th. According to metros data most people got on and off in this part of the route.

There is a new route 77 which is paired with the existing route 75 (45 is now a stand alone route no longer going through the campus loop terminating at the montlake triangle like the 44) which in part goes from Roosevelt station to lake city way, turning west at 125th to connect at Pinehurst station if that ever opens.

And the 522 now goes from 145th / shoreline south to bothell / Woodinville
