Recommendations for a Bridge app
I have used BBO for years, but I am becoming increasingly frustrated. My friend and I like to play in their speed ball games, but we no longer think itβs worth the money. Can anybody suggest a site where we can play together as partners against real people in a tournament?

I prefer the interface of Intobridge to play with other people. Personally, this might be anecdotal, but I find players are more respectful on this newer platform than on BBO. I also like their robots better for practicing. I only go on BBO for Bridge Master. I hardly play there anymore. IntoBridge would be perfect if they had the equivalent of Bridge Master.
I just wish they had a membership in Canadian dollars which reflected our dollar and cost of living compared to the strong pound. That means extra conversion fees and a variable monthly cost.

Thank you for the nice comment, it almost looks like I have created a 2nd account. :)
Canadiands are billed in US dollars, not British pound. And there is no conversion rate. Contact me directly if that is not the case, I will look it up.

There is conversion on the credit card if I use one. Living on a budget means I want to know exactly how much I spend every month. In US dollars, it is the same problem, the currency goes up and down, and it is worse with the whims of the latest president. Also, not adjusted to the cost of living in Canada once the currency is converted, it is more expensive for us than it is for the US.
But, you still remain my favourite platform π₯°.

I get it now. Not perfect. If you plan to stay for longer, consider the opportunity when the exchange rate is best and get the annual subscription which offers 30% discount, so you save the most.
And people like you remain our favorite players! π

you can signup for FunBridge for free to practice. I think you get 200 hands a month free. After that there is $15USD for unlimited and then a charge for tournaments, but everything else is included. I like their bots, my only complaint is that I can't setup a 2/1 convention with the bots

zBridge.club has very good 2/1 bots with configurable bidding. It is completely free though their multiplayer games are yet to see more players. The monthly bot leaderboard is interesting and it is the most played format

You can play on IntoBridge.
Between Monday and Wednesday we have free open games. Friday morning too. Very soon, we will start more regular games. In the meantime you can play Casual table or Team matches with you partner. Also, anyone can start a pairs game and leave it open for registrations.
