I'm going into my 2nd yr at brock next week n i'm taking the ENGL 2P70 course bc im required to take an english n this was wat was available. However im commuting a ways from hamilton so i tried to pack all my courses in 2 days but the ENGL 2P70 didn't have a lecture on either of the 2 days i have all my other courses. Is attendance mandatory for this course?? because its only 1 hour lecture and i don't want to drive down just for this lecture.

Can you please tell me the difference between them? And which one of them will be good for med school? When I say med school I mean MCAT prep, med school pre knowledge, the GPA and in general compare to other program like Biomed or med sci or neuro?

Hello, I am looking to see if anyone else is experiencing this. I applied for OSAP a long time ago and the only step left is for Brock to confirm my enrolment. I’ve been in school 3 years and always had it confirmed around mid August however this year my portal still shows the school hasn’t confirmed. I reached out to Brock central and they told me that they haven’t even started yet but will be starting shortly and it could take several weeks to complete. They than also told me if my tuition isn’t payed by October 1st I lose access to my portal as well as they will start charging me interest on my tuition but it’s their fault they aren’t getting paid. I’m just looking to see if anyone is either having the same issue or has already had their enrolment confirmed.

Hi! I am taking Mathew Martin’s Introduction to Literary Theory class, and after seeing the very heavy-worded syllabus, and his mixed reviews on ratemyprof I have some questions. I am also neurodivergent and struggle with vague instructions, and being put on the spot by professors.

1. Does he allow recording of his lectures? (through SAS) And does he post notes?
2. Is he approachable if you have questions - i.e. doesn’t just recite the same “read the syllabus” answer - actually gives people the time of day?
3. Does he respond well to SAS accommodations, students with disabilities, extenuating circumstances for extensions?
4. Is he kind/does he have a good sense of humour ?(i.e. doesn’t make snide or ignorant comments, doesn’t put students on the spot)

It is not my intention to ask these questions in way of assumption of his character. Just that I have had very bad experiences before, and the syllabus has me worried!! I am going to give it some time to see if the class is a good fit for me.

Hi all,

I recently graduated in June with a sociology degree. I now need to take 3 more classes so I can have 3.0 credits in History as my teachable. I’m taking these classes in spring 2027, and then I will then apply for the teaching education consecutive program in September 2027, with hopes to start in May 2028.

Currently, with my top 10 credits, my average is 73.4. My questions are:

1. If I take 3 classes in the spring even though I’ve already graduated, and they are better grades then my current top 10 credits, will they be able to be counted in my top 10 credits even though I’ve taken these classes after I graduated so they technically aren’t classes I’ve taken for my degree?

2. With a current average of 73.4, do I have a decent chance of getting accepted? The cutoff is 70% average but it says it’s very competitive.

I also have 0.5 credits in Indigenous studies, and the Brock site says it favours students who have 0.5-1 credit in indigenous studies.

Me and a group of friends signed a lease for a foundry lofts back in the winter, but are now having doubts about whether that was a good decision. We were forcibly placed in a basement unit, despite requesting not to be and being told that we would not be. We were blatantly lied to by management and told that we had a high spot on their "waiting list," and that we had to sign the lease quickly to maintain our spot. We were repeatedly told that it was based on the first person who signed, when it was actually based on the last.

We have been doing a deep dive into some of the reviews on google as well as in this subreddit, and we are extremely concerned. Has anyone successfully gotten moved to an upper floor or gotten sufficient compensation after being legit scammed by this stupid company.

Also, anyone whose been in a basement unit (un renovated), what was your experience like?

Heyy so I’m going into second year and currently in regular BBA, no co-op but since the beginning of first year I wanted to switch to Double degree, specifically the France program, I took FREN1F90 and everything else I needed to switch in easily but unfortunately I had a hard time mentally first year which led me to get a 65% average..trust me I’m not proud I’m usually an A student. My question is am I able to switch into the double degree still or am I completely out? If so can I switch to BBA co-op if I get a 70% average this coming sem.
