https://ebay.io/m/bfvdre

Offered is this exact original 2013 Casascius Series 3 “Gold Rim” 1 BTC physical Bitcoin by Mike Caldwell—a 39 mm round containing one troy ounce of .999 fine silver with selective gold plating, from a total issue of only 700. The hologram displays Firstbits 1Ag5RdMM, resolving to public address 1Ag5RdMMSdYNJeeNjuTQdcKpc5rgg3mY6R.
Independently verified on the Bitcoin blockchain on 1 September 2026, this address received exactly 1.00000000 BTC on 20 November 2013 and has spent zero BTC; its original 100,000,000-satoshi output remains unspent, confirming that it is still loaded and unredeemed. The original tamper-evident hologram remains unpeeled and fully intact, as photographed. Purchased by me through eBay in 2013, with the original purchase receipt screenshots included as provenance. Sold in the exact condition shown.

⌨ Discussion More bitcoins have changed hands between $62,000 and $65,000 than in any other price band (except $0 to $1,200).

Has Bitcoin fundamentally changed compared with previous cycles?

• Upvotes

I’ve been in crypto for several years, and lately I’ve been thinking about how different this cycle feels compared with the previous ones.
In the past, Bitcoin’s cycles seemed much easier to understand through the usual halving → liquidity → retail → altcoin rotation narrative.
But now we have much more institutional participation, ETFs, systematic trading and quantitative strategies influencing liquidity and price action.
I’m not saying the old cycle patterns are completely useless, but I don’t think we can blindly assume that the next cycle will behave like the previous ones either.
Do you think Bitcoin’s market structure has fundamentally changed, or are we simply seeing another version of the same cycle?
I’m genuinely interested in hearing how people who have been around since previous cycles see this.

⌨ Discussion Can Bitcoin actually survive the quantum threat?

Quantum computers aren’t breaking Bitcoin today, but the cryptography protecting BTC could eventually become a problem.

Would Bitcoin adapt in time, or does it need a quantum-resistant alternative ready before Q-day?

Does Bitcoin usually drop in September?

Post image

Historically, September has been one of BTC’s weakest months, with an average return of around -2.93%.

But the months that follow have looked much stronger historically: October +19.92%, November +41.12%, and December +4.16%.

Do you think the pattern repeats this year, or does BTC break the September curse?

💵 Adoption Buying coffee using Bitcoin

Many on this sub were skeptical that Lightning with true self custody would ever allow BTC to be used seamlessly for buying your late.

Been a while but what's the opinion here about Cake Wallet's too good to be true, self custodial yet seamless Lightning implementation?

https://blog.cakewallet.com/lightning-is-finally-here/

It just works, no channel management and no being online.

I built another small BCH tool: BCHBooks.

The tool is for people who actually get paid in Bitcoin Cash and want to get track of their expenses and other financial data. Users just need to paste their Bitcoin Cash address and the tool scan all the transaction history. You get incoming/outgoing which gets organized into revenue, expenses and transfers.

Transactions can get tag, filtered by month, quarter, and exported into CSV or even PDF of you need those numbers. You don't connect wallets, the app will never ask for a seed phrase, connection or even sign-in.

You can just read the data and all stays in your browser so when you get back to the home screen all of that data get erased and you need to redo it. The tool is free to use but with a very dedicated "Bitcoin Cash donation address" after all builders need them to keep building, maintaining, updating, get a custom domain and much more.

I deliberately kept it simple:

\\- one chain (Bitcoin Cash), it has one job and is free so that anyone can enjoy.

Bitcoin Cash deserves peer-to-peer tools.
