Dev/Admin Responded All Platforms (Chrome, Firefox, Android) - Saved Responses not commenting

Post image

Hi;

Just encountered this within the last 2~ days.

In several subreddits that I am a moderator, the saved response reason is not being commented even though I make sure to tell it to notify via comment.

In one sub, about 10% of them are actually commenting the removal reason. In two of the subs, none of them are commenting.

I've had other mods in the team take a look, and they see the removal, they see that it says I added a removal reason, but the saved response is not commenting.

Some of the other mods have been able to remove posts/comments and the removal comment does show up, but they are also experiencing some of the comments not "sticking." It might show up briefly, but a refresh of the page, and it just shows our mod note that the post or comment was removed, but no saved response added to it.

In a similar vein, some of the removed comments are still prompting "approve" or "remove" even though they have been removed.

That is:
1. We select remove.
2. We hit add removal reason.
3. We select a reason, and hit submit.
4. The comment shows as removed, with our little mod note next to it.
5. A refresh of the post goes back to giving the option to approve or remove. If we repeat the whole process, it just repeats.

Please assist, this is greatly affecting our post/comments removals, because our saved responses have links and other info pre-saved to address the removals.

Thanks for the report! I'll take a look at this now. Can you drop a link to removed content that should be showing the removal comment?

Hi! Thanks for looking into this! :)

Absolutely, here is one from this morning:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/s/KUMmdQbaOG

We have a saved response in regards to requesting sub recommendations.

You can see the mod note on the right. But there should be a comment posted as well, with a detailed explanation, some links, etc. But there's only the automod message.

Thanks for that! I'll test a few things.

Are you commenting as the newtoreddit mod team or as your username?

As the newtoreddit mod team.

here is a second one.

Automod commented like normal. A summon worked like normal. But there is no removal saved response commented.

Happy to help!

Checking the u/newtoreddit-ModTeam profile, it looks like some comments have been successfully submitted recently. Across the two examples you shared, was it the same saved response that failed?

Seems like they might be different?

Yep, there were a few that were successful, and seems to be sporadic.

This is a third, from just now. It's not even showing the mod note on the side like usual.

Including the two from earlier, this is 3 different saved responses used/failed.

I did take a video of the process on this last one, if that would help at all?

Yeah that would be super helpful! Feel free to share here or send it over via chat!

I'm sure you don't mind that I cropped it a little.

The flash near the end is when I hit refresh on the page.

I hope chiming in on this is OK?
I came to r/bugs to report the exact same problem, that video shows it perfectly. The whole process seems to be going as it should be, but in the end there is no mod team comment appearing on the post.
