I bought a cheap brake light and I have no idea what cable end this is called. Trying to wire it is a whole other story. I appreciate it

SAE connector the power side of the connector should be shrouded with the ground as the exposed male pin.

Those are easily found at auto parts and stores like Menards/Lowe's/Home Depot in the section where they sell trailer lights and wiring.

cut it off, use butt splices
