You did great for your first cake! I ended up burning mine to buggery! So don't be too hard on yourself.
I'll let you in on a little trick, line the bottom of the cake pan with baking paper, grease the sides of the pan with butter and dust a little flour on the side, that will stop it sticking! If making a chocolate cake you can swap out the flour dusting with coco powder so it will match the cake better.

Don't be too hard on yourself, baking is hard af ! You did great for a first time. My first cake wasn't even fully cooked lmao.
