Chocobo Cake fail

Didn't have 2 circles pans so I got the idea to do it all in a big rectangle pan, cut it in half, and then stack them. Also messed up with the frosting by using 6 tbsp of granulated sugar instead of powdered. The first picture is what it's SUPPOSED to look like. The second is mine.

Update: wife and daughter liked it a lot. Wife says it almost tastes like a tres leche. I think it tastes kinda like sweet cornbread and the icing tastes like whipped cream. 8/10 taste. Overbaked and dry. 4/10 looks. Haphazardly made lol.

I think it tastes a little too sweet for the icing and not sweet enough for the cake but I am waiting til tomorrow so I can share it with my kids and find out how a whole slice tastes.

I goobered up the icing and it was too runny, looked gloopy. Thank you for being kind.
