Looking for Mods
Hello everyone,
This is a long overdue post. This subreddit has only continued to grow and overtime has ebbed and flowed. At one point we had a full mod team who had the time necessary to consistently moderate this sub and keep it a healthy and helpful environment.
Over the years this subreddit has grown and the mod team shrunk. I have been unable to keep up with the reports solo and at times simply neglected the sub more than I wouldve wanted to as someone who has also loved and depended on this sub.
As such, I would love to shift gears and expand our mod team here so we can adjust to the growing demands of this subreddit and keep this community one that can focus on individual and collective growth while minimizing setbacks. To do so I am looking to expand our mod team. If you would like to join the modteam please message me answering the following questions:
A post is borderline and you're unsure whether it violated a rule, what do you do?
Shoulder a moderator make exceptions to the rules, if so when?
Which do you think is worse, enforcing rules too strictly or too lightly.
What do you think contributes to making a healthy subreddit community
Why do you want to be a moderator for calm hands.
Thank you all for your patience and your interest. I hope with the expansion of our mod team we can recreate the healthy and encouraging community we once strived as.

Hi! Im willing to help out and will send you a DM with my answers later today :)
Do you mind me asking if the lack of moderators is the reason we can’t embed photos/media in comments on this sub? I do a lot of educating & engaging here as someone who’s successfully redirected the picking/chewing habit into an
passionobsession with nail care, but it takes a lot more effort to help people in this sub because we can’t easily include visual aids in comments.
