Help Sony Sr12 SD Format

will shooting the sony sr12 in SD mode give the same feel as shooting with a sr75 for example or will it still look sharp and “modern”

Depends on your definition of "modern", but it will not have the 90s look. I have a video on the topic, feel free to skip the first couple of minutes.
