i dont know if this is typical in non asian families but we simply do not talk about major conflicts. we pretend it didnt happen. in any case i dont think they know i know. my older bro knows but he buries himself under the sand and becomes my fathers most devoted religious soldier.

we just simply maintain the peace. idk how non asians do it. for us public status is key. above anything else. so we wont break the peace. i think about my mum cheating for every night since i was 12.

then me and older bro cuahgt her texts by accident again to another married man. she ofcourse playd her way around but that brought all my flashbacks as this second time was in 2022. dk how many times inbetween she has. anyway even after that my older bro was angry for a while than back to becoming their favourite son. i guess there are 2 ways of responding. pretend nothing eveer happens or u become rotten like me.

only my best friend knows about my family. cuz no one wants to hear rants. reddit cuz anonymous.

Being fake and pretending everything is fine is exactly what proves people = sh*t. Sorry you live in such a fake home mate, sucks to have this as an example. Also, would be fair for your father to know this instead of living a big lie in a broken home. Won't mean he will stop loving you or stop being your parent. I am sorry for him though, can't even trust your family must be awful

he knows lol. he threaten to out her to everybody 10 years ago but i guess he didnt and they reconcile. hes also a wife beater. now 10 years later they pretend its all fine and dandy and we are the perfect family to extended family and stuff.

Talking about a physically abused woman not being sexually exclusive with her abuser is wild. I hope this post is fake.

u missed the part where she is the breadwinner and can leave. she doeesnt. she chooses to stay and love him because bad publicity is worse than divorcing. thats on her. also she cheat for years before the abuse. so idk.

no it is not fake. some people genuinely love their abuser and rather stay then be single and face the embarrassment of divorce. so yes i have no remorse for her. u laid the bed now lie in it.

if she was a millionaire sure. but we are just normal middle class family.

Can I trade a secret back?

I had fully expected a dead body and I’m kinda disappointed, ngl. It’s because MY “secret” is that my stepdad may or may not have buried a dead body in our fucking backyard when I was a kid in middle school in NY.

My evidence goes as follows:

1) Mans is crazy, multiple family members have confirmed he’s attacked, tried to kill family, and also tried to burn his childhood home down with family inside. His sister also was the first person to encourage and watch me try to commit suicide with a jump rope (she told me to and how), the branch broke, I’m okay now, obviously.

2) The fact we all saw (me, my two sisters at the time, and my baby brother ALONG with my mom) all saw him digging or near the SUDDEN HOLE WE HAD IN THE BACKYARD. It was a big one. It was mostly filled when we all woke up, but it was not just like a “oh I wanted to bury a tree hole”, it was probably the size of a barrel? A big one, like you hide behind in a video game.

3) He told my mother he had a dream he murdered someone, dug a hole, and buried them in the backyard the same fucking night we all saw him near that hole.

We all had a mini powwow after he went to work and my mom (also a crazy bitch) decided not to say anything. So there may or may not have been a dead body in my backyard briefly as a kid.

Trade complete.

Talk to your father about it instead of posting it on Reddit because that won't fix anything for you and your broken family, and living in delusions that for the sake of family's peace no one talks about it, you're in this with your mother and you and your family all cheating on your father if he don't know anything about that, and if he does then I don't know what kinda man he is then you should be worried about you and your siblings being biological children of that man you all call your father

oh no he knows. they reconciled 10 years ago. also hes abusive. so i guess they deserve each other. dont really care.

That must be a horrible secret to keep. I’m sorry that you have to deal with that. And I hope you don’t feel any guilt for anything - for having the knowledge, for not telling your dad, for any of it. None of it is your fault.
