I have consulted the DSM (Definitely Silly Meow Manual) and found out that my cat has bipolar disorder. One second he’s completely cuddly and loving, and the next he’s hissing and scratching like I personally betrayed him.

I know you can’t move, but stay mentally strong. Don’t succumb to Stockholm syndrome just because he’s an adorable darling cat
ETA: I just read your post more carefully and realized you actually got out of the situation. That’s amazing! (Though a little bit sad)
