Advice Why is my cat's tail so fluffy
Basically the title. I've seen online that a cat's tail can get fluffy depending on the breed or if they're stimulated. His tail is always like this but doesn't look like the typical "fluffy" cat tail. He's a 8 months old rescue.
Also yes we are walking him and yes he does love it.

He has slightly fluffy cheek too. And big feet. I'd guess some semi-dormant long hair gene from a few generations ago. Super cute.

He looks like a teenaged medium hair. The rest of his coat will probably get a little denser/fluffier to match as he matures, without ever getting to the fullness of a long haired cat. My cat looked similar, but a little wispier at that age.

Well, it's a mix. Seems there is a bit of coon or Nordic forestcat in this one. Look at the ears. All pointy with black ends. Also those fluffed cheeks.

Cats don't have races cause they're so mixed so there are random genes here, I'd argue it's lucky

If it’s always like that, I think he just came with the deluxe tail package 😂
