Hi all, just wanted some advice here regarding an antenna. I bought a Midland Alan 78 Plus Multi the other day and would like to use it as a base setup (got the PSU wiring in place already). It came with a mag mount but it kinda sucks, so I was thinking of something better. I live in a house with no garden and I cannot drill or climb up the roof. My idea was to attach a Thunderpole to a wooden/metal base that I can lean and stick out the window (all 5metres of it😂). It also needs to be easily removable. With all these criteria in place, does anyone have any better ideas than mine? Bit of a tough one but I’m sure people in the past have managed this.

Hello. Thanks for creating this group/sub. Used CB, mainly 27/81, since I was 9yo in 1979. Had older brothers that introduced it to me.

Still have many sets: mobile, handheld and homebase.
