So i crashed my 450srs today at 20 to 30kp/h. Only the fairings are damaged but the engine is making this crazy noise. Idk how tf that happened, bc like i said nothing of the engine kissed the ground, just the fairings... Hopefully someone can give some advice before the Bike is going to the workshop.

💰 Buying / Comparison Good deal or avoid?

2024 CFMOTO 450ss w/ 12.3k miles was asking $5000 USD and is now down to $3600 USD.

Bike has a cage, Leo Vince exhaust, tail tidy, chain looks clean and it had new fluids 100 miles ago.

I’m 100% buying a cfmoto as my next bike, and I am mechanically inclined if that matters.

Hard to find good info online so figured I’d come to the source. Want to know if it’s a deal I should do or maybe go a bit lower and if these bikes are reliable with regular maintenance as the mileage climbs.

Edit: seller is motivated to sell because they want a car for the winter. Also I’m located in NYC, had a GSXR 600 I brought with me but couldn’t really enjoy it here so down-upgrading.

❓Question / Advice Future Parts Availability

Good day all.

Looking to buy an atv plow rig for winters, and down to the 2026 CF 600 Touring or 2026 Polaris 570 EPS. Given that I can get the CF for almost $3k cheaper, it's a very attractive idea, but....

How worried should I be about future parts availability for the drivetrain? I know other manufacturers, esp. those from Japan, produce parts for decades. I don't necessarily expect that from CF, but also don't want to be in a place where standard replacement parts are nonexistent in 4-5 years.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shine.

NK450 Clutch Problem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone I’ve got a problem with my clutch arm on my NK450 2024

My clutch has failed, I got a bit too ahead of myself with wheelie practice and didn’t give the bike much of a break until the clutch gave out, I noticed when I dumped the clutch it wouldn’t stall, it would just keep going forward, after 5 mins - in gear - when I dumped the clutch it wouldn’t even go forward anymore, even when giving it revs.

I let it cool down for 15 minutes then the bike kept moving forward again but wouldn’t stall with the clutch lever fully out again.

Now these are the symptoms of frying a clutch although when me and my pal took the clutch basket off and checked the plates they looked fine, no chipping, damage, burnt marks - nothing. Which is really strange considering the problem it was giving - So I ordered new friction and steel plates anyway - I replaced the clutch with my pal and and now the new problem is the clutch arm, for the love of God we cannot fit the clutch cable to its right spot, the spindle with the spring mechanism sits at this angle shown briefly in the video.

Now problem is, it will lock in one place but where it locks not only 1: its way too far back where it locks which means even if you pull the cable back from the lever and attach it, you won’t be able to attach it back to the lever and 2: it slips away, the spring is compressed but when you decompress it by not holding it down and then pull at the cable it just slips from the spot and goes more forward where we get wayyy too much slack the lever. We tried all possible adjustments at the lever and at the nuts, we tried to put the arm spindle in different angles and nothing.

I’m genuinely so confused with what happened considering the clutch was engaged properly when the issue occurred and there was normal tension before taking the cable off, now when trying to put the cable back in all of the sudden the mechanism isn’t catching properly or there’s some sort of problem that I can’t understand.

If anyone knows anything or is familiar with this please do give me a hand it would be much appreciated 🙏

❓Question / Advice 450CL-C feedbak and suggestions

I've been looking at getting another bike since my Honda Rebel 300 went for a slide. I was almost 100% sure I was going to get the Rebel 500 until I started looking at alternatives.

I haven't ridden any CFMoto bikes yet, as I don't know anyone who has one. The only dealerships near me that allow test rides are Harley and Indian; all the other dealers do not let you do a test ride, which I can understand to a point, but it makes it hard to consider another option.

With incentives and an initially lower price, the CL-C makes a compelling case against a Honda Rebel.

Does anyone here have a 450 CL-C? Could you share your experience, good and bad? Anything you wish you did differently? Right now I'm looking at checking one out on Friday morning.

Just got the new OEM Tall seat, Race Windscreen, and lever guards. Absolutely love them and how they make the bike look.

The seat is a nice upgrade from the stock one, I like the colorway with it, but the leather helps keep my butt in place. I don’t notice a HUGE difference in height, but it is an improvement.

Windscreen is actually really nice, and installing it wasn’t that bad (those side fairings by the headlights are terrifying to take off lol). But it’s a much-needed improvement and helped with the wind.

💰 Buying / Comparison Doubts about first bike

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy my first motorcycle. I’ve held an A2 license since 2021, but my experience is limited to 50cc bikes. I’m considering either the 250NK or the 300NK; there’s an €800 price difference, yet the bikes look almost identical. I’d love to hear opinions from owners of either model to help me make the right choice, and also find out if they make good first bikes. I’m leaning more towards the 250, as it seems to offer better value for money.

Can the 2022 650nk get/have a quickshifter

Been doing some research and cent find any good info on if one can actually be put on and used. I’ve seen some listings online for some that say they fit but I’m not understanding how it would considering there’s no linkage between the shifter and the transmission. Any help is appreciated

❓Question / Advice 450CLC bobber rear rack

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello fellow cfmoto enthusiasts.

Has anyone found a rear luggage rack for the bobber variant of the 450 CL-C?

I have found a rear rack but it is ment for a different type of rear fender that does not have a grove on it so it does not fit at all without drilling into the original fender and bending/modifying the rack.

Looking a little deeper I have found some kind of plate and its advertised as a fit for the bobber, standard CLC and MT but I cant find any pictures of it being mounted on the bobber, only the standard clc with and without passenger seat

Has anybody found some legendary, sketchy or damn expensive listing for a rack that would fit on the bobber?

heres a image of that plate that supposedly fits the bobber

Edit: spelling

I have not ridden since I sold my HD Dyna Low Rider about 15 years ago and decided I wanted to ride again. After watching a bunch of YT videos I really wanted to try out CFMoto. My two oldest boys told me they wanted to learn to ride so I figured I would get a 300S and ride that until they passed their MSF course and got their licenses.

I picked up this 300SS yesterday and must say I have had a blast on it so far. Really fun bike to run around on.

Highest Paved road in western hemisphere. Not my first time riding up, but first time on the CF Moto Ibex 450, and first time the wind ever took down my bike. All well, though

450ss slipping clutch

Post image
13 Upvotes

Has anyone experienced the same issue with their motorcycle?
I’m trying to figure out if my clutch is actually slipping. The symptoms I’m experiencing are a strange noise coming from the right side of the engine where the clutch is located, higher fuel consumption, and sometimes the RPMs suddenly increase without the bike accelerating accordingly. Specially in 5-6th gear
I’d like to know if anyone has had similar symptoms and how I can properly diagnose whether the clutch plates are worn, the clutch springs are weak, or if there could be another issue causing it.
Is there a way to confirm that the clutch is slipping without taking the clutch cover apart? Any advice or tests I can do would be greatly appreciated.

Crash Cage?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi CF Moto friends,

I am currently looking into picking up a 675ss soon. My biggest frustration is the lack of good crash protection for them. I am not a stunter, so I dont need a super bulky cage, but I want something that will actually protect it from scuffs, scratches, and damage.

I found this crash bar online, which I like more than the typical bulky cage you see on Amazon. My one concern is the bar seems to go right underneath your leg and I can't help but feel like it would be uncomfortable or dangerous in a crash... does anyone have one of these? If so, can you lmk if this is true?

Also open to frame sliders that don't stick out too far and won't snap off on impact.

Thank you in advance!
