Not because he wants a bath, oh no no no! He just jumps into the bathtub for the hell of it because my life isn’t chaotic enough. He’s jumped OUT of the bathtub on occasion by himself but most of the time he cries because he can’t get out like it’s not his own fault that he’s in there😂

Hey there folks. Edna wanted to give her perspective on the new household member. I warn you she gets a little foul, but it’s hard to find a Chi that minds their P’s and Q’s.
Edna:
It’s been 10 days since Mom brought this grotesque deer rabbit alien into my domain. She spends a lot of damn time with it, ergo, I being her top-flight security, have to stick close and make sure the crazy-eyed little suck monster doesn’t start no shit. It gets SO many snack jugs, all day, not fair! But at least the fecker isn’t eating my nug-nugs. They’re mine, and my name ain’t Sharon. It’s ears are bigger than mine, and it’s got weird hard feet with springs. It even uses my emergency bathroom pad in the house but I have to go outside to be called a good girl. I’ve tried to take a bite, or three, to see if it tastes good but Mom gets mad and says that’s a baby. Uh, bullshit! Bitch I’m THE baby!! I had to see if it was edible. When she brought it home I thought it was gonna be eaten because of what they were calling it. It’s still here. I think Mom likes it. I don’t! So I’m very UNhappy to introduce you to my newest charge, like I don’t have enough on my plate…anyway, meet Barbara Queue the goat. I guess that was her name, and not dinner plans.

Nutty as a fruitcake!! The only reason that I have a social life is because Timmy lets me tag along! I also have reasonably toned legs now! 🤪
Anyone who is not familiar with Timmy, he is 80% Chi, 20% everything but the kitchen sink 😜

Hey everyone!
I decided I need to post another update on our little “foster fail” pup, Lenny! To refresh, Lenny was found on the street back in February this year completely malnourished and in terrible shape…. You have all been so kind and invested in his story, and since he has so many uncles and aunties on Reddit, it’s only fitting that I keep you up to date!! *FYI: first pic is the day we got him, and all the ones after are his most recent photos. He is a ham.\*
We have had Lenny for 6 months now and WOW has he made a complete turn around from where he was. He has gone from having fleas, a ROUGH skin infection, patchy hair, crusted ears (we’re still a little crusty but it’s fine, we are working on it), and a tail that was COMPLETELY bald, to a thriving little cutie. No more skin infection, no fleas, the ears are much better but still a work in progress (we are using coconut oil to help keep the ears moisturized, the vet is not concerned with this right now.), he has a beautiful fluffy coat now and his tail almost has all of its hair back!!!
As I mentioned in my last post, Lenny does have heart disease and a grade 6/6 heart murmur. He is taking 2 medications twice a day for his heart and so far all has been well! We have bloodwork in October and our 6 month follow up with the cardiologist as well in October. We are hoping for as clean of a bill of health as we can get, but our little old man is thriving. He loves his brother Toby, loves to snuggle, gives lots of kisses, and he even RUNS NOW!!! He didn’t run for a while because he was so tired and malnourished, but now he runs and plays with his brother in the yard, and he jumps up and down to greet us when we get home! Him and his brother are so close they like to pee on the same bush at the same time….. evidence is in the photos 😭😂
We have our own little morning routine where he stands on my chest until I wake up and say “goooooood morningggggggg mister Lenny”, then he dances around the bed and rubs his head on the blankets until we get up and go outside. He can’t be separated from us or he starts SCREAMING. 😂 Lenny likes to sit on top of his brother and he also loves to eat watermelon. Lenny also loves to hump his dad. Only dad. No one and nothing else. We tried to teach him not to do that, but honestly at his age, go off big papa. 😭
Lenny has quite a few nicknames he has collected:
Len
Len Len
Yenny
Crunchwrap Supreme
Mr. Stink
Mr. Backwards (he walks backwards when he wants out from under a blanket instead of turning around)
Mr. Meanie (he hates everyone except mom and dad)
Little Man
Boobie
Lenny has completely changed mine and my husband’s lives, and we absolutely adore him. I don’t know how someone could abandon him on the street like they did, but I’m so glad he found his way to us. However much time we get with him, we are so thankful for. He is so funny, sweet, and just fits perfectly into our little family.
We plan on taking family photos for the holidays so I’ll be sure to post the results here for his uncles and aunties to see! Lenny sends lots of love and wet kisses to you all and your pups 💜💜

He’s our first Chi. We got him from the humane society a year ago. According to the staff, he was ‘one of the bad ones’ due to his anxiety and fear of men and they confirmed several times that we really wanted to take him home.
He’s the best thing that could have happened to our little family. He’s the sweetest little guy, always wanting to cuddle, loves a good routine, and loves to provide emotional support during work calls, video game quests, kitchen adventures, bathroom break, anything at all.
But what I most love about him is the life we were able to give him. He was returned several times due to his anxiety and fear of men. We knew within the first week that it was that he was misunderstood - he was obviously abused in the past, scared, and lashing out to protect himself. He’s so little, how could people not see past that tough guy facade?
He never has to worry about any of that for the rest of his little life. He has his own bed in every room, a bucket of toys, two loving mommies, an adoring cat brother, a stroller for when his little legs get tired on walks, and enjoys trips to restaurants where he gets to eat a doggy meal at the table with us.
We promise to give him the life he deserves. How can something so tiny
a) get such a bad rep?
b) be so full of love?

Pancho had to go to the vet for his annual shots, Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, and Bordetella. Now he passed out 😂

Six days ago, we made the most difficult decision in our lives to send our beloved Chewie across the rainbow bridge. He was 16.5 years old and defied all the negative chihuahua stereotypes. He was the best chi ever. We love you and miss you so much, our beloved pocket wolf.
Please hold your sweet chis a little tighter for us today.
Edit: Thank you, all, for the lovely comments and support 🥹😭❤️

Hello! What foods does your chi absolutely love? My puppy is 11 weeks old, I’m feeding her puppy food and some chicken, what else is good for them?
Thanks!

We sadly said goodbye to Farfle this past weekend after a long fight with kidney disease. She was my angel. We had a little funeral at home last night, burying her in a sunny spot we can visit often. Afterwards we were watching TV and heard a clatter. A fire alarm had somehow fallen off the ceiling- no idea how, they are firmly attached. My partner said "Farfle always hated when those f*cking things went off!" So now we're theorizing that as a little ghost she's finally able to reach all the stuff she never could. RIP precious girl, haunt us anytime!
