They're definitely chippy little critters, haha, some of the gentle ones that get bullied like to seek refuge by me when Big Mama goes on the warpath. She's always chasing the others away when their paths cross lol

I think I have 2 or 3 families living in the area, and I see this happen a bunch. I try and spread the food out so they don't bunch up. A lot of times they will miss each other b/c one is running back to their home with food while the other is arriving. When one comes back too early, this is the result, lol.

Sounds just like the chippy who lives under the porch here (the one who comes barreling in at the end of this video actually). I absolutely adore her, but she has a very strong personality and she runs off everyone, be it other chipmunks, rabbits, birds, even squirrels, she chases them all! She also positions herself on the top step and will sit up there for a very long time just chirping loudly as she surveys her kingdom 🤣

Without any harm coming to any chipmunks, I would love to see inside the 'munks' mouths and watch how their tongues work at gathering and storing the sunflower seeds in their pouches.
