OC- Crowdfunding Campaign [OC] WE DID IT! - The Little Trashmaid
WE DID IT!
After a month and a half of hard work, struggle, and constant dedication, we managed not only to reach the minimum goal of producing a 10-minute animated pilot, but also to secure extra budget in case there were errors, unforeseen events, or catastrophes that would have jeopardized the entire project.
As I did yesterday, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the comics and webcomics communities.
Without your support, encouragement, and advice, we would never have achieved this dream!
You advised us on how to upload the shorts to our YouTube channel, how to best display the campaign link on our Reddit profile, and how to start a Patreon adventure for future animated shorts (while we wait for the pilot).
We've improved a lot lately, and it's only thanks to you.
As I said yesterday, we'll now start uploading the other projects, after they were put on hold due to the crowdfunding campaign.
Of course, the paperback volumes will always be available on our website, but we'll also continue to share chapters of "The Little Trashmaid" on Reddit (always with s0s2's permission).
Thank you so much for everything, and we sincerely hope we don't disappoint you!

Legally, this is pretty clearly protected parody, IMO (IANAL). That said, Disney's lawyers have long reach and deep pockets, and if they're crowdfunding this, then they don't have those deep pockets.

I'm so upset I didn't get paid until today and didn't realize it was ending. They finished it at 3am, its 6am, take my money 😭🤣😭

The biggest congratulations are in order!! I hadn’t read this comic before the campaign started and I fell in love with it! So happy to contribute to bringing this to animation. Can’t wait to see it develop.

This is awesome! I really enjoy the comics and your art style is pleasing.
But I gotta ask: are you concerned about Disney giving you a cease and desist and losing all this hard work? Disney doesn't mess around with their IPs especially if your comic/cartoon gets big

Disney doesn't have an IP on merfolk in general. The little nod to Ariel (print on the not-trashbag shirt) has been changed already.
The Little Mermaid tale was originally written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837, that's what Disney based theirs on.

YEAH!! Your comic has been my favorite for a long time. It takes skill to tell a story without dialogue and I hope the world gets to see it!
