Any addition would almost certainly be seen as not only cheap, but also needless. The noseless Sphinx has become an icon; why change it now? It is not as if the lack of nose is a major structural issue. Speaking of structural issues, there's also the risk of further damaging the Sphinx.
Jokes aside I hate when nationalist governments do this, ruining actual relics of the past to "renovate them" into their propagandized national symbols
