That's why I use my GOAT tinfoil. Not as airtight but I knew they would cooperate 100% with me.

The tinfoil doesn't get stuck together as much but it still has the ripping issue sometimes

I don't understand how aluminum foil makes it from my trashcan to a recycling center. If I'm not going to put the effort into cleaning it before recycling, who will?

The trick for all rolled sheets to tear is to hold the whole box in one hand and grab the roll through the box by pressing down with the lid BEFORE you start pulling against the teeth to tear. That way the teeth don't slide and are most likely to pierce the roll before it tears anywhere else
