Wargames 1983

I'm not far away from releasing a full game I've been working on. To the first time user is nothing more than a terminal window and the word LOGON; no hints no clues but you have to figure out the way in to the wopr computer in NORAD. If you know the film it will make it fairly easy.. I say easy because I wrote the game. Still a work in progress and should be another month or so before it's been fully tested and every bug ironed out.

Strange game, professor. The only winning move is not to play.

There are no clues just knowledge of the film might help you

You mean my useless knowledge of 1980s movies will help me play videogames? Hell yeah.

Can’t wait. I’ll butter some raw corn on the cob as a celebration.

It will include everything from the authentic keyboard sounds, the beeps and chatters, the dial up sound from back then, amongst a shed load of other goodies

That's in there.. I've been playing it for about 2 weeks getting the logic gates to open up the progression just right so you can't just type Joshua and get in.. it's going to be a hell of a challenge to any gamer out there. Can't wait to finish it. Estimating a month to go. For people who have never seen the film it might make them want to watch it for clues

Playing the game last night I've added some effects for sounds and it's nearing completion but it's pushing me towards making another game which is going to be unique in itself.. how about a sideways scrolling shootemup that doesn't just go sideways what if you had to go up and down and left.. I've never played any shootemup sideways scroller that didn't do this . They were either vertical like xenon mega blast or sideways like the regular scrollers.. if there are any they do all directions I must have missed those
