Work in progress Pumpkin Problems, Need Suggestions

Post image

I'm making a bag charm for fall but can't get this pumpkin to stay in place. It looks okay here, but on the bag it flops in all directions. Anyone have advice on getting it to stay put?

Thanks.

Well, it's a round-ish 3d object amongst 2d ribbons. I think the only surefire way to get it to behave the way you want is to make it flat.

You could reorient the pumpkin so that the stem is on the side and the round body is now the top. You'd have to have a string or strong thread pierce the body of the pumpkin from side to side to do that, and people may not recognize the pumpkin when it's oriented to hang on its side, though.
